Dongchonjae is located in Seochon Village, very close to Gwanghwamun Square, the center of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Seoul. It consists of Anchae, Sarangchae, and Annex Room. Built in 1939, Dongchonjae It's not a fancy hanok. Seoul City and the government (Korea Tourism Organization) have recognized it as a traditional hanok. Dongchonjae has opened its home by a retired couple and has been operating since October 2020. Guests use 4 rooms, living room (Daecheongmaru), kitchen, 2 bathrooms (inside: shower available, outside: small but showerable), Numaru, and yard. The host lives in Sarangchae and provides breakfast and other services. (※ The love house is a space that is different from the main house where guests stay in, and it is a completely separate space) Feel the tranquil beauty and scent of traditional hanok in Dongchonjae. My place is located in a place overlooking the view of Bukchon. It is a private hanok that only up to four people can enter and does not share with other guests. In the yard, there is an outdoor Jacuzzi that reinterprets the Hanok Sarangbang in a modern way. Feel the beauty of Seoul hidden in the hanok yard where you can see the sky. -Jacuzzi is available from April 1st to October 31st because of the weather condition.
