Apartment holiday rentals in Haiku-Pauwela

We had an absolutely excellent stay! The condo is in a fantastic location in Paia—just a short walk to the beach, Kuʻau Store, and the iconic Mama’s Fish House (definitely make your reservation in advance!). The space was perfect for two adults, with warm wood tones, beachy decor, and a large living room with a pull-out couch for extra flexibility. The condo had everything we needed, and the laundry in the nearby building was super convenient. Check-in and check-out were seamless thanks to the hosts’ clear instructions and responsiveness. We spent most of the week wingfoiling and windsurfing, and this was the ideal home base for easy access to Kanaha Beach Park and Kahului Harbor. We also explored the Road to Hana, Haleakalā, Makawao, Haiku, Kihei, Wailuku, and Kahului—everything was within comfortable driving distance. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it, especially if you’re looking to enjoy Maui without the resort crowds.

Marie was fantastic! Her place was spotless, and I felt right at home. I’ve traveled all over and stayed in several Airbnbs, but Marie’s place has everything one could think of. Like ziplock bags and laundry baskets. It is the little things that makes this spot worth it. It was also very clean and located near some great food spots. A bonus was having a sauna to use at our disposal. I would definitely book this Airbnb again.

Very nice Apartment in Kihei directly at the Beach, only 1 minute away. The Apartment was very Clean and everything was available at Check-in. If I plan to visit Maui again, I will definitely come here again!

We went to Hawaii for the first time and found the best place to spend our 5 wonderful nights. The condo was very clean and cozy, it had everything we needed. Without a doubt, I would stay with them again. Thank you very much for such wonderful hospitality. God bless you.

Such a beautiful area to stay! And Tom & Vicki communicated with us for everything we needed. Clean and comfy. Secluded enough to feel tucked away in the forest, but still only a quick drive to the closest town. Would definitely recommend, and would come stay here again!

Taryn’s place was amazing! The morning sunshine view overlooking the ocean and huge balcony, clean interiors, bed was very comfortable and overall had a great stay. Taryn was great and very responsive with anything I needed. Thank you!

We feel incredibly lucky that we found this place! Kihei / Wailea area is the place to be. Complex felt safe and was very private which we loved. Cannot beat how close you are to the beach. A great beach, at that! The pavilion / pool area was such a nice add on. Place was clean and super cute. Host was super accommodating and responsive. Absolutely no notes. We will be back to Maui and I have 0 question as to where we’ll be staying. Thanks, Laura!

Linsay’s place was such a gem! We didn’t end up spending much time in the apartment, as there is so much to do in Maui. The location was perfect- an easy walk to coffee shops and amazing beaches. The one downside was the AC. We followed the instructions to cool the place down, but it seemed as though running the AC made it warmer. It was no big deal to us, as the trade winds were blowing, so in the evening we would turn on the fans and open the windows. If you’re expecting an ice cold apartment upon returning from the beaches, you might want to look elsewhere. The bed is amazingly comfortable. All in all, a great place to land for the evenings.

Nate’s place was clean, convenient, and right on the water. Every morning we looked forward to watching the tide and seeing the sea turtles, there were even binoculars we could use! The location was extremely convenient and Nate was super responsive. I’d definitely stay here again when I am back in Kihei!

Our stay in Maui here was absolutely amazing. The condo was gorgeous—spotless, beautifully decorated, and in the perfect location. Just walk across the street and you’re right on the beach, with stunning views you can enjoy from the lanai every day. Megan & Bryan were such thoughtful hosts. They truly spread the aloha spirit and made sure we had everything we needed and more. The condo was fully stocked with beach gear, kitchen essentials, and really great appliances. We especially loved having a washer and dryer in the unit, it made things so convenient. When we noticed one of the beach umbrellas was broken, they immediately brought over a brand new one without us even having to ask. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests really stood out! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and can’t wait to come back. Mahalo, Megan & Bryan!

Absolutely breathtaking view; our favorite part was sitting out on the balcony watching the turtles swim. It was clean and the kitchen had pots, pans, and cooking utensils which made it great for making meals at home. (We stopped at Costco after we left the airport and got supplies for most of the week.) Only two things less than ideal for us were the noise from the street to the bedroom (we didn't realize there was a noise machine in the closet to use!) and the bed size (full? double?). We are used to a king and it was a bit of an adjustment.. I fell off the bed at one point while distracted and sorely miscalculated where I thought the edge should have been. Ha! Only thing bruised was my ego... and being able to watch the turtles from the balcony all week definitely made up for it. We loved our stay.

Great spot in Kihei centrally located on the island. The property is right off a small beach that was nearly empty the whole time we were there. The unit itself was great for 2 people and had all the things we would need to enjoy our stay (cooler, chairs, towels, etc). Would definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed Dianne’s place! My husband and I stayed here for a week as we explored Maui. It was perfect for us - the bed was very comfortable (a huge bonus), everything was spotless, and Dianne included so many thoughtful touches, like a welcome gift basket with treats, plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, a beach umbrella, an assortment of coffees and teas, plenty of clean (lovely, thick) bath towels, and more. Located within a block of the marina, we walked to our snorkeling boat! Dianne was a gracious, communicative host and we hope to come back!

We loved this place. Highly recommend and will definitely try to stay there again if we ever go back to Maui.

Steve’s place was great right by the water and close to restaurants

the apartment is right as in the photos; simple but with all that you need for a great stay! including a little cooler and beach chairs which was nice! the best thing was it's location, walking distance to what I think was the most beautiful beach of all Maui, a little beach protected by the ocean, which in low tide is like a natural beautiful pool, and the best, it is full of turtles! The apartment it is also a block or two of a great grocery store with great food (including Poke) that you can take away for your daily trips, and just a 4 min drive to main Paia town where you will find a lot of nice restaurants and shops. Last, if you surf, it is also 4 min to Hookipa and other great surf places, and just at the entrance of the Hana road, which deserves more than a single day imo; it is beautiful!

The condo was just like the pictures, and the amenities were great! John was very responsive and made everything super easy. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

We had a great time. The apartment was clean and well equipped, we loved the kitchen where we could cook our own meals and especially the beach gear which we used daily. The location was great to explore the whole island by car. There was free parking available right in front of the apartment.

This location was right where we wanted to be for our trip to Hawaii. It was also our first time renting through Airbnb. Lisa made it easy to find the condo and was quick to respond with any questions. The condo had everything we needed for this trip. Thank you for hosting us!!

We were visiting Maui with a 7 month old baby and had a lovely time staying at the apartment. The hosts kindly offered a booster seat and a pack n play for us, and had everything one might need for an awesome day at the beach - chairs, towels, toys. The place was clean and well equipped for cooking which we did often. The beach was right across the street, and it's beautiful. Overall we had a great time staying here, and would come again.

Perfect location to easily drive around the island. The place is cosy and very well equipped (including all you need for the beach and snorkeling), amazing views from the balcony and lovely common outdoor space to relax.

Loved Dmitry’s place. Everything is as pictured and described. The clearest directions and details of checking in and out and things to do around the area. Everything in the Airbnb was SO clean. The place had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and beach equipment and more. The place was also more quiet and private than I was expecting given it was in a condo complex. It was also well lit, safe, with security, and clear upkeep of the grounds and amenities. Would love to stay again and cannot recommend this place enough!

Mike’s place was super convenient! Short walk to the beach, and he basically had all the supplies we needed so we didn’t need to rent anything. One of the beach chairs has seen better days, but it was still useable and my daughter loved the boogie boards. The apartment was extremely clean as well. There are plenty of restaurants and food trucks within walking distance. It’s an easy drive to all the major sights — we basically hit all the highlights in Maui easily. Would definitely recommend Mike’s place.

Really nice! Loved the view and the building is perfect direction for sunset. Condo was clean and big. The only thing I would say is that they should maybe add Tupperware and ziplocks but other than that the condo and host were great!!
