Family-friendly holiday rentals in Half Moon Bay

I had a great stay here with my daighter and german shepherd. It was great to have the beach all to ourselves every morning by walking just a block over. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and the greenery outside was wonderful. Would definitely stay again!

This house was amazing and super clean. The view was incredible. We very much enjoyed our family event of 3 days. I would highly recommend this place.

amazing place to stay for a visit to the Bay Area. the backyard is a beautiful secluded Oasis with its own private hot tub. easily walk to the number of spots in the Mission District and Bernal Heights for some outdoor fun. they have a picnic basket packed up with all the supplies you would need so I highly recommend taking that over to Dolores Park on a sunny day to enjoy one of the best views in the city. also highly recommend looking through their recommendation book before hitting the town so you can get an idea of some cool spots to check out. I would 100% stay here again on another trip to San Francisco

We loved this home. The area was great and near everything and the street was nice and quiet for the area. The home was immaculate, the care to maintain this home is obvious! Next time we are in San Francisco, this will be our first choice for lodging.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We walked to the beach to boogie board, went to the boardwalk and enjoyed the local farmer’s market. The house was amazing and more than we expected. We enjoyed the backyard with all of its amenities including the hot tub and outdoor shower especially after coming back from a day at the beach. Shari was very proactive in her communications and we are looking forward to coming back again for a longer visit.

Felt like it was just lke my home accept they have a hot tub that I used almost every night during my stay also had a beautiful garden. Is very quiet and relaxing.

Loved our tranquil stay here!! The space was super close to downtown Aptos and many hiking spots which made it easy to go in and out. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and everything we hoped for on our quick getaway. Would stay again!

The cottage was exactly as described. It was very clean, tastefully decorated, and functional. The beach is within walking distance, and there is an ocean view when you stand on the street. The location is superb, situated conveniently between the Monterey Peninsula and Santa Cruz. There are many excellent restaurants within a 15-minute drive. Despite its proximity to these attractions, the area remains peaceful and relaxing.

⸻ I had such a wonderful two-week stay at the farm. From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly—especially the sweet little black cat named Teva, who wore a green collar and quickly became a favorite companion. Toni was so kind and responsive, always making sure everything was just right. The farm felt very safe and peaceful throughout my stay. Being in a cabin on a farm, a few bugs are to be expected, but it wasn’t an issue—I came prepared with essential oils, which worked well to keep them at bay. The cabin itself is cozy and compact, but the many windows let in so much natural light that it felt bright and open. The shower was great too—good water pressure and ventilation, though it might be a bit snug for some. Overall, it’s a lovely little escape—close enough to San Jose for convenience, but with a feeling of peaceful seclusion that makes it feel like a true retreat.

Very thankful for this quaint experience! The kids loved the toys and the very kind neighbor helped make sure we had chargers for all the electric toys.

Great location, within driving distance of everything we needed or wanted to see. True to the description, the house is located right on hwy 1, so was rather loud until around 8pm. Regardless, we enjoyed the deck overlooking the road. The place had everything we needed, and we greatly enjoyed the stay. Peter was very responsive - when we had a small issue, he was extremely quick to respond and rectify it for us. We also really appreciated the recommendations put together for eating and sightseeing. We loved our stay at the Mill Valley Chalet! We felt super comfortable and at ease right when we walked in - mellow/calming instrumental music was playing, what a nice touch :) Being surrounded by redwoods, in a home made from redwood trees was magical. We loved that we could walk across the street and down the stairs into town. There were various delicious restaurants (we highly recommend Flour Craft Bakery and Piazza D'Angelo) nearby as well as a market and little shops. Super close to incredible hikes in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (NPS) and Mt. Tamalpais too. We really loved sitting out on the decks amongst the redwoods, and even saw a buck with large fuzzy antlers. The kitchen has everything you need including cooking oil, coffee, tea, and spices; the showers had nice water pressure; and the beds were pretty comfortable - the downstairs bed was a little firm, and upstairs medium firm. Matt and Krisztina were easy to communicate with, too :)

Was a great option for close proximity to the Google campus which is where we needed to be. Neighborhood seemed to be safe and walkable. It’s evident they are very involved with the beautiful landscaping and gardening on/around the property therefore notable tree pollen/allergens during the spring time. Overall a cute, cozy, and darling stay!

Gem of a beachhouse, on a quiet street, just a short walk from the beach. Clean, tastefully decorated cabin and loved the peaceful back garden and front patio to enjoy the sun as well.

I had a great stay, thanks! It’s a small space (essentially a single room), but everything was clean, and its location was perfect for exploring San Francisco for a few days. Angela was also very responsive when I needed a flexible check-in.

House is In a beautiful spot. Driveway access requires stopping on the side of the main street getting out, punching the code for the gate then making a u turn to get in to the drive way. The house was very open and spacious. Overall the family enjoyed the house.

I half expected to see Jay Gatsby on the balcony when I pulled in. Instead I found Lou very welcoming. The location is convenient to Santa Cruz and Los Gatos. Very peaceful.

Jenny is an amazing, sweet and care host! From almost all this 10 years of airb&b she is my favorite. From the date I completed my reservation to the check out was a cordial communication. 100% recommend!!

This place is increíble! Hosts were friendly and proactive. The pool was heated to a perfect temperature and the view is unbeatable. The recommendations for hikes and restaurants were spot on. My husband and I had an amazing little getaway and we’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, gorgeous place to stay!

I don't even know where to start. The condo is absolutely beautiful. The views were literally breathtaking. The pictures of this place were beautiful but seeing it in person was paradise on earth. You have a panoramic view of the ocean that runs the entire length of the condo. Absolutely gorgeous. Theresa was kind and very helpful with everything. The place was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. I can't say enough good things about this place. My mom and I loved every minute of our stay. I can't wait until I get to go back. Thank you Theresa. My mom and I had the best time. I forgot to add that we really saw whales from living room!!!!!
