Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Halifax

Matthew and stanka were absolutely amazing hosts when I say they went above and beyond they actually did, we ran into a bit of problem and they allowed us to stay longer so I could sort it. They was no pressure from them. The added bottle of wine and milk and apple juice were nice touches. This will now be our home from home. Quiet area lovely club across the road. Responsive straight away. Everything that's needed in a home was there, it was warm and cosy, nothing to fault. If I could give a million stars I would.

Kizzie’s place is absolutely gorgeous and was perfect for my husband and I. Didn’t need the car at all and the centre is just a few minutes walk away. Lots of bars, cafes, restaurants to choose from and lovely little shops to browse in. We went to the cinema too which is a few minutes walk away and had a lot of character. Beautiful surroundings, lovely walks down the canal or sit in Kissie’s garden. Bed was so comfy and we slept so well. We will definitely visit again. Thank you!

We stayed six weeks, late April through early June. The house was perfect for my wife and I and we really enjoyed the home and rural but close to everything location. We decided to use bus and train passes with the occasional taxi and saw so much more than renting a car as we have in the past. We walked up the hill everyday to the house from the main road and at 70 years old we had no problems, it was good exercise before bed each evening. Susan and her husband Mark were perfect hosts, we saw them often and were very helpful. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Our best recommendation for this home is "We will stay again." At different times we walked all the local canals from Todmorden to Brighouse in sections, visited dozens of local villages and took the train to Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool, the airport and even down to London and Kent. Our bus passes also allowed us to roam all over Yorkshire.

Absolutely charming cottage in a glorious spot! Convenient for Halifax town and countryside adventures alike. Beautifully done inside and great facilities. Only stayed one night but can imagine it would be a great base for a longer holiday.

Nicole’s place was very convenient to Shibden Hall. We could walk to the Shibden Park right at the end of the street, which was great! Beds were comfortable and house was spotless. Thanks for a great stay!

Really enjoyed my three night stay at Calder Cottage. It was very pleasant. The cottage was clean and the host's were friendly and helpful. It was perfect. Thanks again Angelique and Wayne. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Sowerby Bridge.

I spent a wonderful 3 nights at Geoff’s House. It is a home from home providing everything you need with easy walking distance of the centre of Hebden. The house was spotless with great views across the valley and really quiet and peaceful. Thank you very much Jeanette and look forward to coming back at some point. Would thoroughly recommend.

Really cosy cottage, great for exploring the local area, nice and quiet. If you are coming I'd recommend walking up the stream to Jerusalem Farm via Luddenden Valley. House was spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great week in this flat and would definitely return , Pubs & restaurants on your doorstep and a great balcony to sit out on and watch the world go by. Also Nick our host is a nice guy .

Lovely stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Very warm and friendly welcome from the hosts, Suzanne and Ian who were there to meet me and explained how everything worked. Welcome pack a nice bonus and very much appreciated after a long drive. Flat was beautiful, light and airy but at the same time, homely and welcoming. Very peaceful location and felt very safe there, something very important to me as a female guest staying on my own. Great communication and the few queries I had during my stay were answered very quickly. Local shop within walking distance for anything you might need and a coffee shop which looked very inviting and a must try venue for next time. All-in-all, a wonderfully relaxing stay.

Great location right in the middle of Hebden Bridge. The apartment was clean and well equipped. It was easily big enough for the 6 of us and felt quite spacious. The jacuzzi bath was a big hit! The balcony provided good outside space.

We had a lovely 1 night stay at the Ebor Suite and wished it was for longer. Beautiful decor and everything you need for a short stay. Great detailed instruction for check in. Close to a co-op if you need a few supplies and plenty of restaurants and takeaways. We would certainly return and would recommend to others.

We loved our stay at Gina’s and hope to come back sometime soon. Hebden Bridge is a friendly, charming village - so lovely - and Gina’s place above her fused glass studio is so pretty and filled with light and pops of color. We could walk all over, including in a nearby park and along the river. Thank you, Gina!

The apartment was exactly as described and shown in the photos. Laura provided excellent directions which took us straight to the gate. Stewart was there when we arrived, so let us in and made us very welcome. The garden is beautiful, and he did say we could use it but sadly we didn't have time. As others have said, Laura provided milk, orange juice, bread, butter and marmelade which was a nice touch and meant we didn't need to shop. The whole apartment was well equipped with everything we needed, with a cosy and comfortable sitting area. We only used the kitchen for breakfast but it looked well enough equipped to cook in if necessary. Beds were also comfortable and it was lovely to wake up to the sound of birds in the garden and no traffic!

We stayed overnight at Diana's and it was perfect. The photos don't do it justice; it was much better and the living area, bedroom and bathroom were all huge! A great place to stay.

Very happy with Rachel and her apartment. It is a steep climb to the Bronte’s parsonage but walking is what the Brontes did themselves.

We spent one night at Bumblebee Cottage and everything was spot on - good location, easy check-in process, clean and comfortable accommodation. We were very grateful to Georgie for her flexibility with the checkout time and her understanding when we accidently broke a glass. Highly recommended for anyone staying in the area.

Great location quiet, easy to get to. We stopped just 1 night so didn’t use anything in the kitchen but it had all you would need. Plenty big enough for 2 people with really comfy bed and large bathroom with walk in shower . Would definitely stay there again

The place was everything we dreamed of when we stayed. From the moment we first got there Dean and Kerry were so welcoming and so was their little family, always offered help when we needed it as we had trouble setting the tv up dean was super helpful. The place was so cozy and homely you felt right at home the moment you stepped in. It was so peaceful and the perfect little getaway. Everything was in walking distance or just a short drive away. Will definitely be staying again ☺️

Nice relaxing little apartment, with everything you'll mostly need from an airbnb, just what the doctor ordered. Rachael was very friendly and accommodating. Will stay again should I be in the area...... two thumbs up 👍
