We are situated just one mile away from the town of Haltwhistle also renowned as “the centre of Britain” and all its amenities. 10 minutes from Hadrian’s wall also known as the Roman wall spanning 73 miles of the country Northumberland holds the longest stretch of this amazing English heritage. Our lovely Shepherds Huts are set in the garden of our home, on the edge of the market town of Haltwhistle, Northumberland. We are an ideal base for a couple looking for a romantic retreat, or friends looking to explore this beautiful historic area. The interior consists of a triple bunkbed, fully equipped kitchenette, TV, comfy seating and a woodburner. Another room in the hut has a toilet and shower. Dine alfresco on decking outside, or cosy up to the stove after a day of exploring. Joy!

Plenty of pubs, takeaways and two supermarkets also within a couple of minutes walk if you need any provisions. NOTE from 28th Sept 2025 the second bedroom is twin single beds.

The Blacksmiths cottage is ideally located in the centre of Haltwhitle positioned above the Brew bar which is open late some evenings. The flat consists of an open plan living room with a double sofa bed, well equipped kitchen, a shower room and a large bedroom with a double bed and a single day bed. Both the living room and bedroom both have views onto the market square. The cosy living room has a sofa, two chairs and a fold away dining table for eating at.

Free pick up after 5pm from Steel Rigg and free drop off before 9am. Dog friendly too. Small airfryer, small freezer and fridge.

The Bothy at Ivy Cottage offered on a B&B basis, is a unique, cosy & beautiful, centuries-old stone Shepherd’s Hut, situated in the hamlet of Red Path, a short drive to the popular town of Halthwhistle.
