Kings View Farm ‘The Cottage’ - side of Mt Roland

TiffanyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was our favourite stay in Tasmania. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated in beautiful hills. We were welcomed into the cottage with ANZAC biscuits. Tracy and Quinton were wonderful host, sharing their farm and beautiful animals that we had the joy of petting and feeding. They were so kind and went above and beyond providing some local produce and stocked kitchen. We had so much fun at this farm stay and exploring nearby areas, a must book and we hope to return!

Somewhere Else Accommodation

CassandraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Such a lovely warm and peaceful place to stay and wind down in at the end of a long day. Karen was very welcoming and helpful, setting up the fire for us to return to each night. Very lovely cottage with a real homely feel, and everything you need.

Tarkine Wilderness Lodge - Tasmanian Wilderness

SueRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The Tarkine Wilderness Lodge is on the very Eastern boundary of the Tarkine Wilderness area. We were hoping to explore other regions of the Tarkine, but because of the isolation of the Lodge, and therefore distance involved, we decided to not do this. There are walks that extend a bit into the forest, but you have to be confident to follow pink-taped trails as the path is not obvious. We did do this and found that there were adequate markers. The Lodge is amazing with beautiful timbers and windows giving 200 degree view from the living area, and each bedroom has its own view and outside entrance. All facilities are of excellent quality.

Paradise at Prout

LaurenRating, 5 starstoday
Paradise at Prout was our last stop on our trip around Tasmania, and as soon as we arrived, we wished we'd been able to stay even just a little bit longer! Upon our arrival, we were welcomed by the most darling goats, sheep and chickens, whose special treats were lovingly prepared by our hosts in readiness for our stay. The accommodation itself is a very cool and beautifully appointed space, positioned perfectly to take in the incredible views. From the beautiful decor, lovliest linens, comfortable beds and cozy couch, to a full pantry of treats and essentials, farm fresh chook eggs in a basket, and fresh whole milk in a glass bottle, everything was absolutely perfect. We were warm, comfortable and oh so happy here. Jazmine and Wilson ensured our stay was easy and lovely, we are so grateful that we were able to stay and experience what they've created with their beautiful accommodation.

Eagles Nest II Luxury Private Spa Property

JackieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
If you're looking for a place to breathe, relax, contemplate, reflect, play, chat and spend quality time with family and friends, Eagles Nest 2 is perfect. With Mt Roland and a big wide sky as the grand backdrop view from all angles of the house, and with cathedral height windows celebrating every inch of the view, being inside and outside feels seamless. Eagles Nest is an experience. All the rooms are themed and the decor interestingly eclectic. The beds are very comfy. The place is clean. The kitchen has everything one needs. And then there's the outdoor spa (where you run your outdoor bath) tucked discreetly away for a relaxing soak. I think spectacular is the best word to describe the view and the night sky. We even saw a meteor shower from our bed which will be forever etched in my mind, with Mt Roland silhouetted in the background and a squillion million stars twinkling in the night sky (admittedly it was 4.30am - I'd woken to visit the bathroom - lucky timing!). So nice!

Heritage cottage within a garden.

KatieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great stay at Deb and Scott’s place. They are so friendly and welcoming and the little cottage is very cosy. Even in the winter the gardens were beautiful and it’s a great base for exploring cradle mountain and the surrounding countryside. The breakfast provisions were a really lovely touch and we get at home.
