Holiday rentals with a kayak in Hampton Roads

Our family enjoyed our weekend at Big Blue. It was special because it was my wife's birthday and there was plenty of family with us. We really liked how the 2nd and 3rd floor are duplicates of each other. It's like 2 different apartments , but we had access to both. The kids on the 2nd floor and the adults on the 3rd. Very clean open spaces. The host were responsive and proactive. We hope to make the Willoughby Spit area a regular vacation spot, very lovely.

We had a wonderful visit to Ashley’s beautiful home in Gloucester. The house and property were spacious and beautiful. You will LOVE your stay. Ashley is an outstanding Superhost.

We had the most amazing weekend staying at this cozy cottage for my son’s birthday getaway. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The space was clean, beautifully decorated, and had such a peaceful, welcoming vibe. It truly felt like peace from the moment we stepped out of the car. The cottage had everything we needed. It made settling in so easy and stress-free, especially with little one in tow. The hosts were beyond incredible. Their warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. They even went out of their way to help make my son’s birthday feel extra special by letting us do cake with family in their backyard, which meant the world to us. This trip was full of sweet memories, and a huge part of that was thanks to this beautiful cottage and its amazing hosts. Sabrina was extremely nice, helpful , and responsive. The house is as described, very clean, and had everything we needed. I'm sure if there was something we needed Sabrina would have taken care of it. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. We took our dog on walks by the water. It was a dead end street & so peaceful. We even met a few neighbors that made us feel extremely welcomed. We will definitely stay again! I would like to caution you to only visit the nearby Walmart, 7 Eleven & other stores during the day.

Kristy’s place was so peaceful! If you are looking for a quiet space then this is the place for you! Everything from the location to the details in the home curated a calm environment. And if you need to hear a little noise Cape Charles is just a drive away! Also check out the lovely Chatham vineyard just down the road!

We absolutely loved the stay at Janie’s place! It was great and such a short walk to the beach. The beach wagon, chairs, and umbrellas were a nice touch and saved us from having to bring our own! There is also a propane and charcoal grill available for use, which is amazing. We look forward to booking our next trip to Cape Charles here, hopefully sooner rather than later! We have heard Christmas time is beautiful!

This place was just amazing. The views of James River, and even the Jamestown settlement across the river (using binoculars) was just mind-blowing! Kevin and Jamie left a wide variety of amenities that were extremely thoughtful and useful, to include hygiene products, charging cords (which was a life saver because for literally the first time ever, I forgot my phone and iPad cords), coffee, and even a margarita kit! The cottage is so cozy, and was very clean. I’m definitely going to book here again.

Our stay in this home was such a treat! We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks to boat around in Chesapeake Bay. The hot tub was an absolute delight, perfect for evening stargazing, saw lots of shooting stars, and could see the water of the bay from the hot tub. We also enjoyed doing November cold plunges from the hot tub to the pool. While the living room is not expansive, it fit our needs for family game & movie nights. The bed linens were so comfortable, and Lori was beautifully responsive & friendly when we would reach out with a question. We also enjoyed the nearby Sandy beaches.

Deena was extremely helpful from the start. I was looking between 2 properties however since Deena was the first person to email me information of the area the history on the home and ideas for things to do for the kids I booked with her. When we got to the cottage we easily checked in had a ton of amenities and the cottage was clean spotless clean. We really enjoyed our stay with Deena and we look forward to another a stay at her cottage.

We loved staying here! The location was great and it was roomy. Super close to the beach, great outdoor amenities, and a nice porch. Host was quick to respond. We pretty much had the beach to ourselves, it was like a private getaway! There were a few cons: very noisy upstairs guests (I know this can’t be helped, but it was bad,) the parking spaces were EXTREMELY tight and one of the guests kept parking in 2 spaces instead of one. There was a narrow gravel driveway offered, but if someone parked behind you then you couldn’t leave. The WiFi wasn’t strong enough to watch tv, we had to keep pausing it so it would load a little. All in all it was a great deal and would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed the stay. Comfy beds with wonderful cotton linens. Cute interior. Nice, quiet off season experience. John’s recommendations for smaller local favorite restaurants were good choices. Nearby recreation centers offer day passes and lots of indoor activities for cold or rainy days. Just right for our family trip. Highly recommend.

This place was the most charming airbnb I have ever stayed in. Badria and Jay made every detail of our stay perfect with all of their extra touches, including saltwater taffy and a box of croissants, slippers and a lavender mask, and a fully stocked coffee station with syrups. We instantly felt at home and in vacation mode at their place and literally laid out on the dock the entire time. A perfect spot for kayaking, laying out in the sun, and I even brought out my mat and did some yoga on the dock. The views were unreal. The couch was so comfortable I accidentally fell asleep there the whole night and woke up to the gorgeous window views. Amazing hosts and location!

We enjoyed our stay at Poseidon. The carriage house was perfect for us, and had everything we needed for our vacation. We appreciated having the chairs and umbrellas so we didn’t have to bring our own. We’d definitely love to come and stay again.

We wanted a retreat from busy life and a place to all come together and this place did not disappoint. We enjoyed crabbing and fishing every day and throughout our five night stay we were amazed at all this place had to offer. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had all the necessities.
