If you have a chance to stay here, do! I can’t say enough good things about this enchanted cottage and garden and the hosts. I stayed two weeks, have been gone one day and miss it already. Pat and Dave were excellent hosts, checked on me without being intrusive, and even gave me a ride to town on the last day to catch my bus. I worked remotely weekdays. The Internet was slower than I’m used to, but perfectly serviceable. I was able to take video calls and get things done. I didn’t have a car, but enjoyed picturesque walks. It was lush and green with a large stream adjacent to the garden. There are two pubs close by, one requires walking through lovely field paths but I wouldn’t want to walk at night alone. I’m sure it’s perfectly safe, just dark! There is a little grocery about a 10 minute walk, but it is up a steep hill. Doesn’t matter, it was just magical.

Cloudstreet is wonderful. From the road, the house is unassuming but as soon as you step inside you realise what a special place it is. Inside is beautiful - spacious, light, comfortable and with beautiful views down into the garden and across the valley. It is clear a lot of love and attention has gone in over the years to developing cloud street as a haven of peace and tranquility. The location is very quiet - I think we heard cars go by 4-5 times in the three days we were there. The bird song is incredible. The house is really well equipped - probably the best we have come across - and it was spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend m!

We had the most incredible stay at this property. The views alone were some of the best we’ve ever experienced, with the deck overlooking the sea. The beach is a short walk down the cliff side from the property (the walk back up is a workout to say the least, especially on a boiling hot day!) and a stroll across the sand couldn’t have been more peaceful. Christian was a great host and was quick to respond to any questions. This is the perfect place to switch off, with bedrooms with great views and a spacious living room and kitchen. The only thing we’d suggest is possibly bringing your own essentials, such as milk, butter and cooking bits as local shops are about a 15 minute drive. Overall we can’t recommend this place enough, we really needed to reset after a hectic few months and we finally managed to here for which we are so grateful.

Di was a great host, there were little extras in the flat that were very welcome, we could have checked in early if the M5 had behaved itself! The accomodation was really clean, comfortable and quiet with the offroad parking a bonus. Thankyou very much Di.

We loved the Old Byre as soon as we arrived. The location was superb for exploring the moors and places to eat. The cottage was perfect in terms of size, cleanliness, facilities, and beautiful garden views from the patio. It is dark and quiet at night too, so great for a good nights sleep! Being able to use the paddock to walk our dog first thing and in the evening was ideal. The hosts, including their gorgeous dog Harley, gave us the warmest of welcomes whilst leaving us to enjoy the peace and tranquility. Thank you for a really lovely few days, we’ll definitely be re-booking!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is beautiful, nicely decorated throughout. We both felt like we where hidden away in it's quiet, peaceful setting. Jay's mum is lovely and lives next door, she was delightful and friendly and always on hand if needed. We had the best two nights sleep we've had in a long time. We both will miss the comfortable bed. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we wish we could have stayed a lot longer!

We had a lovely stay at Miranda's property. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was great for the dogs (stone flooring in the entrance and kitchen meant we didn't have to worry about wet paws). The Molton Brown toiletries were a lovely treat. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long walk. Miranda was very helpful and we appreciated the recommendations for local places to eat. A beautiful part of the world and easy access to Dartmoor park.

I spent the weekend at a charming cottage with my husband tucked away in a beautifully secluded area, and it was exactly the escape I needed. Surrounded by nature, the views were absolutely stunning—rolling hills, quiet woods, and skies that lit up with stars at night. It felt like being in our own little world, far removed from the noise of everyday life. Carol and her husband were very accommodating to us and ensured that we were happy with everything in our stay. Would definitely recommend to all and we would most definitely stay again!
