High Desert Hideaway

Pets allowed inside if potty trained. Just a 5.3 miles from town. It is on the south side of Highway 20 east of Burns, you must go past Red Barn Road. There is red reflectors to help find the driveway at night. It’s a on a pivot that with permission and caution about buildings, pivot, equipment and the highway you may shoot ground squirrels and jack rabbits! There is a corral for horses and a kennel for dogs. It is centrally located for horse activities like cuttings, brandings.

The Outlook

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located on a remote eastern Oregon cattle ranch. Wildlife viewing, star gazing at it's best. Winter months are snow shoeing, cross country skiing, or a good book by the fire. Beautiful views in all directions, and we are the only ranch in sight. Mama Bear’s Den

Mama Bear's Den is conveniently located across the street from the grocery store, 3 blocks from downtown restaurants & shopping, and an easy 2-minute drive to the hospital. This cottage offers a large yard for your pet and kiddos to play, plenty of off-street parking and a shared picnic area complete with BBQ and fire-pit. Sandhill Suite

The Sandhill Suite is a newly remodeled home conveniently located five miles east of Burns just off highway 20. This cozy two bedroom home was remodeled in early 2023 and has lots of amenities to offer. Its a great option for extended stays or a quick weekend getaway and sleeps up to four people. We are close to the Steens Mountains, Malhuer Wildlife refuge and so much more! Harney County is the best place to bird watch in the spring, with over 300 different species of birds migrating through!
