This land with its old-fashioned townscape and famous water is hot in summer and cold in winter. But that's why the rice, vegetables, and meat are also delicious. There are many areas where nature remains, but few areas where the old townscape remains intact. I want to preserve this townscape. To that end, I want many people to experience a nostalgic way of life and culture. As such a place, we renovated a row house left by our ancestors and opened it as the Daiji, a soy sauce shop that had closed. You are always welcome! This is a new guesthouse built in 2019, located 3 minutes' walk from Gifu Hashima Station. To ensure you enjoy the stay to the fullest, I set check-in and check-out time to both 12:00 Noon. So you can stay up for 24 hours with one night booking. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.

"Moegi" is an old folk house lodging along the Nakasendo in Gifu. We renovated a 60-year-old, 150㎡ old private house to create a private lodging where you can relax. "Moegi" is the name of a traditional Japanese color. It was named to wish for a "good start'' and "child's growth.'' There is a playroom of approximately 32 m² for children. Don't worry if you can't go sightseeing due to rain. There are also many sightseeing spots in the area, making it an ideal base for sightseeing.
