Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Hawaiian Acres

Everything was as described and we enjoyed our stay at the property - it was between Hilo and Volcanoes which worked well for us. Cooling the bedroom down does take some time, as the A/C is only in the living room and the cool air doesn't get into the bedrooms very easily, combined with the slat windows not sealing so some of the cool air leaks out of the house. However, the house was very clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay there.

Highly, highly recommend the Volcano house if staying in the area! Joshua and Geneva thought of everything to make the stay feel homey and welcoming - from the personalized check-in call and recommendations to the fruit basket and other goodies to all of the local guidebooks and information available in the house- they made it incredibly easy to have a relaxing and well-planned vacation near VNP. We loved spending time on the porch, the kitchen was very well-stocked (don’t buy condiments/dressings, or coffee!), beds were cozy, and we loved both the indoor and outdoor showers. We didn’t make use of the beach equipment but it was available along with umbrellas, chairs etc. It’s a little out of the way but that also makes it special. Overall, a really great stay when visiting the park or this area of the island.

Really nice apartment. Communication went really well and Pamela and Kenzie were really friendly in providing head lamps for the night at volcano. The location is awesome. It only takes 10 minutes to go to volcano national park. It is great to relax on the veranda and in the hot tube listening to noises of the forest after an adventurous day at the national park. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Just a magical place. Loved the views of the lava flows, a great view of the ocean in the distance and just a peaceful neighborhood. Jade was absolutely fantastic in communication and we appreciated her local recommendations. If we’re ever fortunate enough to return to the big island, we would for sure stay here again.

Tisiphonie's place was perfect! Great location to get to all areas of the island that we wanted to, private and peaceful setting(loved the front porch in the mornings), very clean and well maintained, spacious with plenty of room for large family with young adults(7 of us total), friendly host with a greeting and texts to let us know the volcano was erupting, overall great place. Wish we could have stayed longer on Big Island and in this beautiful home.

Absolutely loved our stay! This Airbnb is a hidden gem nestled in a serene rainforest—waking up each morning to birdsong and sipping coffee on the back porch while watching colorful birds flit through the trees was pure magic. The home itself was comfy, clean, and just the right size for our family of four. John is a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. His insider tips led us to some stunning local beaches and made our visit to Volcanoes National Park even more memorable. If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway with unique local experiences, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Kelly‘s und Jason‘s Avocado Farm ist ein wunderschöner Ort. Sie waren äusserst herzlich und haben uns sogar mit einem feinen Bananen-/Papaya Kuchen begrüsst. Weiter durften wir auf der Farm frische Früchte geniessen. Sehr gerne würden wir eines Tages wieder an diesen paradisischen Ort zurückkehren und ihn jederzeit weiterempfehlen. We had a great stay. The home is in great shape, very clean, with plenty of amenities for your stay. The view from the backyard is simply breathtaking. Chase is a great host who gives you all the info you could ever need. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

Great place to stay located nearby both Volcanoes National Park and Hilo. The unit was clean and comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood. The host was very easy to communicate with and replied quickly on questions. Great place to stay outside of town and would recommend again.

The stay with Robynne was amazing! It's rare to find such a great host and such an incredibly cosy and super clean Airbnb. We would have loved to stay longer. We couldn't have imagined a better stay. It felt like home. We also got to meet the two huskies and they were super cute. All in all: 10 out of 10!! Mahalo Robynne and thank you for your hospitality!

What a great place to stay if you are visiting the Volcano area. The unit is warm and inviting and in a great little bush setting. Ideal for a base camp just 8 minutes from the National Park. The unit is just as described and a nice little breakfast was supplied. Highly recommended for a stay.

The neighborhood was peaceful, the beds were very comfortable, all the information was clear, our host was highly responsive and kind. We had everything we need to make our stay wonderful

Truly an oasis! Dana and Gregory are wonderful hosts and Rivendell was one of our favorite Air BnB stays. The apartment was spotless and well-stocked, the bed was so comfortable, and the hot tub was very well-maintained and heated quickly. Now for the best part! The landscaped property and waterfall made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. We wished we were staying longer. Mahalo for the perfect weekend stay! We will be back!

Really quaint little place, exactly as described. Richard was a great host and provided everything we needed. It is slightly off the main road and down a gravel lane but the instructions were very clear and precise. We would come back.

I loved how the balcony looks over to lush greenery, makes it feel like your own private oasis. And it had everything I needed for my stay.

This place was fabulous. Everything I had hoped it would be and more. The cove right at the condo was amazing. We walked out at night and got see the turtles. My favorite place so far. The host was awesome too. Hope we get to come back here someday.

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

Everything was wonderful. Shae was very helpful and attentive to whatever we needed. Great recommendations for sightseeing, shopping, dining.

Unit was very clean and host provided good information-follow her instructions to find unit. Condo community is a bit aged/in need of maintenance but the unit was very well maintained. We used laundry and this worked very well.

Linda was so quick to answer and her place was even better than pictured. Completely modern and updated, with a super warm feel! Had all of the appliances you could need, and the location was great. Surrounding area was beautiful. Would absolutely stay here again and truly recommend it!!

Joe and Cindy’s place in Hilo was a great base of operations for all the adventuring we had lined up while visiting the area. The location is walkable to several great restaurants, shops, Ola Brewing, and 7-11(best musubi on the island). The bed was super comfortable. The space was clean, uncluttered, and felt larger than the description would insist. Loved the tv hidden in a frame with vintage Nintendo games and two wireless controllers. The hosts are responsive when asked a question. There was an unfortunate issue that happened on the grounds in front of the lanai while we were there. They addressed the issue showing aloha hospitality when things didn’t go perfectly. The scooters they have available for rent were in great condition and super convenient for getting distances that are borderline walkable. Hilo is a great little downtown. So many cool things to do and see! Mahalo, Joe and Cindy! We now love Hilo!
