Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Hawaiian Islands

Very peaceful escape in upcountry! The stars at night were definitely a highlight, I've never seen that many stars so clearly before. We opted to stay in most nights to avoid driving the winding road in the dark. Overall, the place was clean and very welcoming. Only thing I would suggest is to ensure the shower ceiling gets looked at. The cottage does not have air so it does show signs of mildew/mold. Not enough to bother us but something I wasn't expecting.

Wow. What a spectacular place. A true eco-jungle-lodge-type experience. The location, the home, the host's communication and aloha spirit - everything was fantastic. Highly recommend 4WD / AWD car for the driveway, although we made it work with a sedan (kind of comical, actually). We are an adventurous family of four adults (2 grown kids) that likes experiences and lodging that would be the opposite of a cruise ship or resort. This place was perfect for us. We will be back!

We had a wonderful 7 day stay. Our 3 boys (16, 13, and 10) spent hours on the diving board and in the pool. Sandra’s place had everything we needed for beach trips, including beach chairs, wagon, umbrella, cooler and beach towels. I was so happy to have a washing machine to wash out the sandy towels and suits after our beach trips. It was a 5-10 minute trip for Costco,-target and Walmart and a 30-40 minute trip to Hāpuna Beach (don’t miss the Malsada stand on the highway on your way). We would come back to the house to cook supper, swim more in the pool, and watch the sunset from the beautiful yard. We also got a lot of use out of the basketball net in the driveway, and volleyball net in the side yard. Sandra was extremely helpful with all aspects of our stay, including local recommendations. Would definitely stay again if on the Big Island!

Great place for the price! Patio had a well stocked kitchen & beautiful porches. The outdoor fireplace was a great bonus! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Can't say enough great things about this house and Tony. I've never had a host as communicative, that truly goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need to have the best vacation possible. The location of the home is perfect for us, quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle, but close enough to still be able to participate in a variety of activities. We will have no hesitation on staying here again, in the future.

Sandra was very nice. The house was clean and exactly what we expected. She offered great suggestions when we asked for recommendations on places to visit. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Just a magical place. Loved the views of the lava flows, a great view of the ocean in the distance and just a peaceful neighborhood. Jade was absolutely fantastic in communication and we appreciated her local recommendations. If we’re ever fortunate enough to return to the big island, we would for sure stay here again.

We loved our stay here! The home was immaculate and our hosts were very responsive to the few questions I had. What I loved most was how easy it was to have our kids there - the place was well stocked, beds and couches very comfortable and there were plenty of pool toys. Highly recommend!

The location is great, with an amazing ocean view. The host is friendly, making everything easy. No complicated house rules and check-out to-do list 🙌 Also, I loved that they provided beach chairs and an umbrella—definitely made my beach days a lot better. If you're looking for a laid-back spot to relax, highly recommend it!

Great little place. I enjoyed my stay here. It is small but I knew that going in. The kitchen feels spacious and is well equipped. Thanks for the goodies and the flowers! The bed is very comfortable. It is a bit noisy early in the morning (roosters and vehicles) but I slept fine after the first night. Thank you for everything!

Our stay in Kihei was great! Anke’s place was very cute and comfortable with a perfect view from the lanai. All communication was professional and reliable 💕

Wow and wow! Joyce and Zac have gone above and beyond to create a space that is comfortable and private. While the accommodations are indeed attached to their home, the retreat presents like a private apartment. The kitchen is well-stocked, making it easy to cook in for meals, if desired. Nothing has been forgotten concerning the little touches that make traveling easier, so we would consider this rental much better than a hotel. There is no air-conditioning, but numerous fans are provided and we were comfortable during our June stay. The online pictures very accurately depict what you'll see when you arrive. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We whole-heartedly recommend this rental and plan to return on our next trip to Kona.

A lovely location with an amazing host! This is a good starting point for lots of hot spots on Maui, and you can’t beat the view. Very comfortable and peaceful.

Absolutely perfect! It’s a double condo with tons of space and a double lanai with beautiful views. Truly our best air bnb stay yet. Princeville is gorgeous and the Hanalei Bay Resort has great amenities, two good restaurants, two pools access to the beach and a beach bar. Spectacular!

A 6 out of 5 for the views!! Beautiful ocean views right from the condo and steps from a small rocky beach where you could see the sea turtles up close sunbathing on the beach. Its not necessarily a beach you would spend your day at or get in the ocean to swim in due to the rocks but very nice being able to spend a few minutes here and there. There was some true beach access about a 2 min drive down the street, and more options about 10 min in either direction. The condo was as described and had pretty much all basic amenities. The quality and condition of the condo was perfectly fine. The portable A/C unit in the bedroom was very nice for keeping a cool sleeping environment. Appreciated the beach equipment we could use! Maalaea was a small harbor town with a couple restaurants and aquarium. Definitely check out the Maalaea General Store for breakfast, lunch, or basic grocery needs!

When searching for a nice place to stay sight unseen, especially after such a loss to the community, we were pleasantly surprised. We wanted something private yet still in the heart of the activity for our wedding and honeymoon. Maui is breathtaking, and the views from the balcony were incredible. Every day, we could see sea turtles in the water from our private beach, and we were even greeted by a few that spent the night on the beach during our stay. The space was fantastic, and the bed was really comfortable. It was also conveniently close to necessities like the ABC store and a few shopping centers. Heidi was very prompt when we reported a minor issue, and she resolved it quickly while keeping us updated throughout the process. Thank you for hosting us! We will definitely be recommending this spot to all our friends and family, and we hope to visit again sometime!

My husband and I stayed here for part 2 of our honeymoon trip. It was everything we could’ve asked for and more! Such a beautiful space and wonderful location!

The place was great. I especially appreciated the beach chair, umbrella, yoga mat, roller, high powered blender and sharp knives. It was close to the beach and easy to jump in the car and get out of town. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The place was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as described. The location couldn’t be better, just a short walk to the beach and several restaurants. What truly set this place apart, though, was the sunset view. It was absolutely breathtaking every evening and made the entire experience unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway.

What a beautiful space! Janice was a wonderful host, you can really tell she loves this little piece of paradise. The ocean views are stunning, and the sea breeze is just perfect. You honestly don’t need the AC (and I’m menopausal) Janice provides great instructions on how to make the most of the breeze, and it’s far better than using air conditioning. The location is ideal — as the last unit on the floor, no one walks past, so you can comfortably enjoy having the doors open (there’s a secure screen door for peace of mind). Regarding the sandbags: they’re along the entire strip, and after staying here, I feel a previous reviewer was unfair. It’s clearly not something Janice can control, and the incredible ocean view far outweighs the sight of sandbags. The bed was also really comfortable, a big plus for me, as I have bad hips. Oh and turtles we saw every day!!

The condo was lovely, and just as pictured and described in the photos. The hosts did a great job communicating throughout our stay, and provided helpful and detailed recommendations of things to do and places to eat in the area. The bed was super comfortable! We loved the convenience of the kitchen, and all the plates & utensils, etc that were available. The view from the lanai is fantastic and enjoyable to sit on while enjoying some morning coffee. Our kids loved the pool (especially the water slide!)
