Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Hawaiian Islands

Pictures cannot do the place justice! The back yard is gorgeous, right on the water, and has plenty of spots to sit and chill, rain or shine. The living area and kitchenette are spacious - we were able to cook everything we needed for 6 days, the couch is like a cloud, good wifi. Linens, towels, bathrooms, everything was pristine. Plenty of beach towels in the unit and great beach/water equipment for general use. Everywhere we wanted to go already required a car so it was totally worth being a little outside Hilo to get the scenery, with grocery store and shops about 20 min away. Denise and Matt responded to messages right away and there was someone on the property who helped us check in.

Beautiful property! If you have binoculars bring them, the ocean is so amazing to watch and the sky at night is amazing! I loved the little ducks and chickens running around. Fruit trees -> AMAZING. The chickens in the coop area are so nice and friendly. It was breezy but it was so refreshing especially in the evenings coming through all the windows. 10/10 would stay again!

This apartment is everything. I love how stocked and comfortable it is! I have stayed in Airbnb’s all over Europe and the US and this is exactly how an Airbnb should be! These hosts are fantastic and they even leave great treats for people! We are moving to Oahu but had to come home early due to a family emergency but once we are ready to head back, we will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying in this unit while visiting some family in Hawaii. It’s a very easy walk to Waikiki and the apartment itself was clean, spacious and exactly as described. Would definitely stay here again!

The listing was exactly as described—clear and accurate. The value for money was amazing, but what truly stood out to me was how incredibly kind and helpful the host was! Even before I arrived, they provided a ton of useful information. After check-in, they continued to follow up and shared so many great travel tips and helpful little life hacks that really enhanced my trip. There were times I reached out pretty late at night, and to my surprise, the responses were always quick—I honestly started wondering if the host ever sleeps, haha! Overall, this was one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had thanks to such a thoughtful and attentive host. I’d definitely love to stay here again next time!

Great place ! Everything was within walking distance, great host. The only thing i don’t recommend is if you’re a light sleeper because it has constant ambulance siren so make sure you bring ear plugs. I’m a heavy sleeper so everything was perfect for me. Would book again next time i’m in Honolulu

ZERO notes!!! This place was perfect. Clean and comfortable. The ocean view is worth the price if its available! Hot tub was amazing after long hikes. So nice to have multiple restaurants (shoutout to the amazing food and crew at BVs) and coffee options a short walk away. Perfect halfway point between Waimea on the South end and the Napali Coast on the Northside. We'll be back next April/May!!!

We had the best time here. So close to Waimea Bay which became our fav beach, it was less than a 10 min walk! Absolutely wonderful place to stay, also very kind and helpful host!

This house is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood, with easy access to major destinations on the island. k Kitchen is fully stocked and bathroom is clean. The retractable roof shade is really nice! The host is friendly and nice to communicate. Hope to be back sometime in the future. Thank you so much for the accomodation!

Marc was awesome. He was a great host and we loved his place. The location is perfect and the views are amazing. I was able to really relax and unwind on our stay with Marc. We will definitely be back.

Denise and Brian were extremely accommodating and friendly. We appreciate all the recommendations. And love all the detailed signs around the home, answering any and all possible questions. The house is absolutely amazing! We had a marvelous time relaxing in the house and exploring the island. Everything was as described and even more beautiful than we could have imagined. The tranquility of the place together with the ocean sounds is just purely relaxing and inspiring. The house is in great condition and offers everything we needed for our stay. Theresa and Justin are wonderful hosts that were always were kind and helpful and prepared the house with great love.

Beautiful place away from the busy city life. Lots to see and do and everyone is very welcoming and helpful. Felt like a camping trip without the roughing it part. Kids couldn't handle the bugs at night other then that we had a wonderful time. Definitely recommend, would love to come back when it's just adults on vacation.

The hosts were so lovely and helpful to my family. We had my mother's memorial service there and the place was peaceful and beautiful and big enough for it. Host was very flexible and communicative. I hope to return and reminisce about my family's special time at Hale Roselani.

My favorite Airbnb stay ever!

We loved our stay at Robert's condo. Everything was comfortable with plenty of room. We loved sitting on the lanai overlooking the beach. There's a small pigeon problem on the other lanai, but everything inside was clean and we had everything we needed. You can't beat the location, just steps away from the beach with a spectacular view. We would stay again in if we are back on the island.

Great location with walking paths, short walk to an ocean view mini-park and beach access through the Princeville resort (all beaches are public in Hawaii) and great beach amenities (folding chairs, towels, boogie board, etc.). Had a great time exploring the north part of Kauai.

Airbnb stay was very comfortable and amazing! The place was very clean and was at an ideal location - very close to various restaurants. Nicholas was very responsive and gave great clear instructions for check in. Just a note - there are quite a few cats on the property. Most of them keep to themselves, but a couple are extra friendly and might even follow you to your unit. It’s worth noting this isn’t Nicholas’s fault—just part of the local environment. If you’re a cat lover, you’ll probably enjoy their company! If not, just be aware. Otherwise, everything was clean, comfortable, and as described. Nicholas was a responsive and thoughtful host.

The condo was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the view was amazing. It's hard to beat waking up to whales breaching in the water outside your window, and the snorkeling on the beach in front of the Westin is some of the best on the island. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again.

We had a great stay at Rick’s Airbnb. The location and value were perfect. The kitchen and bathroom could use a deeper cleaning. The bedrooms were all comfortable but the upstairs gets very hot. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone seeking a good value and location.

We loved our visit! The space is decorative and has everything you could need. A full kitchen with ample pots and pans and serving pieces. A beautiful patio for enjoying the birds and morning coffee dinner, etc. easy access to the pool in a beautiful beautifully landscaped community. We are a family of five.(mom, dad, and three boys ranging from 22 to 25) and we fit just fine. There is snorkel gear, a beach, umbrella, and beach chairs that you can use. Easy parking. It was just perfect for us.

This unit in KoOlina was beautiful and very well appointed with everything you could need. It was perfect for our family, beautiful view, and the Beach Villas are a much more chill environment compared to the other hotels in the area with access to pretty much its own lagoon. The only thing to be mindful of is that we found the oven and stove to be extremely slow to heat up so if you have big plans to cook you are better off on the shared BBQ or air fryer in the kitchen. It wasn’t a big inconvenience for us but it did make us less motivated to use the kitchen even though it was very well equipped. The unit was spacious and the grounds and pools were very well kept. You can tell this is a high quality place.

We loved Kohl's condo. Its in a lovely location, very comfortable and all necessary items were included i.e. kitchen equipment, shampoo ,conditioner etc. We very much appreciated Kohl letting us know we could check in earlier than usual. We certainly plan on returning to Molokai & hopefully to Kohl's condo. Many thanks Kohl !!
