3 Railway Cottage is a fantastic base to explore the amazing beauty of North Yorkshire. The cottage is located a 20 minute walk from the centre of Pickering but is in a really quiet and private location. The only exception of course is the opportunity to wave at the heritage railway trains that pass at the back of the cottage a few times a day which is really amazing, especially if you wave from the comfort of the hot tub! I can’t recommend this location highly enough, it is a really comfortable and well equipped cottage in a fantastic location - what more could you ask for?

We had a fantastic stay here for 4 nights. It was beautifully clean and had everything and more we needed. Such lovely hosts, very responsive should you need them. Great location! Such an easy drive to a lot of places. We visited Whitby, Scarborough, Pickering, Thornton Le Dale and more! All under 1 hours drive away. Cottage is so homely and very welcoming 😊 Amazing that each room has their own en-suite. Beds are so comfy! Downstairs bedroom was great for us with someone in the party having mobility issues. Games room is a fabulous touch! Sauna and hot tub both very clean. Highly recommend to stay here. Thanks for a wonderful stay 🥰

Lovely cottage in a great location. Walking the surrounding area from the house was great and very near to a pub and tearoom which both served great food. The hot tub was an added bonus!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely holiday home which is in a stunning location overlooking Robin Hoods Bay. It really was an unbeatable location. Steve was a fantastic host, giving us all the information we needed about the property and location. He also left us some welcome extras in the fridge 😊 The property was clean and well presented, and the hot tub and snooker room were enjoyable extras. We would happily return to this beautiful, peaceful spot in the future.

Lovely relaxing cottage with everything we needed. Very cosy and relaxing setting with great views from back windows. Enclosed garden for dog or children. Hot tub was a great perk which was well used by us. Rillington village within 10 min walk which had a small shop and a nice pub ( the fleece). Tips for other travellers The fleece in rillington has a nice garden of weather nice and the food was nice too and dog friendly Ham and cheese which is a 5 minute drive the food was very good and dog friendly too although probably too far to walk Lots of walks nearby, we went to dalby Forrest, mallyham spout in goathland and Levisham near Pickering New Connie’s Chinese in malton was also very good

We had the most beautiful stay — the cottage was peaceful, private, and instantly felt like home. Everything was spotless and smelt amazing, with such a lovely, calming vibe throughout. The decor was gorgeous, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The hot tub was the perfect finishing touch for a truly relaxing weekend. The hosts went above and beyond with thoughtful details like fresh eggs in the morning and chocolates waiting for us on arrival. Communication was smooth and friendly from start to finish. You can really feel the care and effort put into every part of the stay. I’d absolutely recommend this place — it’s a little gem, and I’d love to return!

I was looking for some relaxing peaceful time away, and Linda’s place delivered! It was stunning, especially being able to sit and watch the sunset in the summerhouse with my dog. Linda made sure to come and say hello, and to make sure everything was ok - which was lovely. We had a great time and will hopefully be back soon. Thank you

We had a lovely time! The place was great and the location was perfect.

We really loved Clarey and Barney’s place! We were treated so well! They were very warm and welcoming, and they responded promptly. The house was just as beautiful as it looked in the photos. We stayed for two days and went for walks every evening. The peaceful village made us feel so comfortable.

Had a lovely stay at Rachael’s , just what was needed , took our little dog which was great , he had his first day at the seaside just 35 mins to the coast Clean and tidy , everything you could need although we ate out you could cook a meal , 2 minutes walk to shops , pubs and cafes , and the church on the door step is stunning . A very comfortable Huge bed too Bonus as we left Monday is market day lots of lovely fresh foods to bring home

Lisa’s sweet cottage is a world away from the world in a spectacular rural village. The trails in the local area lead to other spectacular places of scenic charm and beauty. Lisa is a lovely, welcoming host with a talent for providing comfortable accommodation with an artful flair. Our stay will be a cherished memory!

We had a fantastic time at Byre Cottage. The property was kept immaculate, with all the facilities one could ask for. The cottage was furnished to a great standard and we shall definitely be visiting again in the near future. Lisa and Graham were exceptionally friendly from the start, but allowed us our privacy while we were there. Lovely touch having local biscuits and milk on arrival. Linen and towels in the bedrooms were lovely and fresh. The water is supplied from a local spring, and was delicious, and power from solar panels. The view from the kitchen/lounge was amazing - cute goats, sheep and donkeys just outside the door, and views over the hills to the sea. Watching the sunrise was lovely. The "Scratching Post" games room was fun, with fresh eggs and drinks available to buy and a pool table. Bring 50p coins! Really close to lots of walks - either straight from the door to Boggle Hole, or a short drive from Falling Foss with a beckside forest walk. Close enough to drive to Whitby for fish and chips, or Thorpe Stores in Fylingthorpe for a fresh bacon buttie from the friendly local shop. We'd love to come back and stay again.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage: everything was clean, comfortable and good quality. It’s in a super peaceful location, just birdsong and the occasional baa of the sheep neighbours! It’s also in a great location for exploring the area, just 30 mins from the coast and there are lots of beautiful villages on the moor. Highly recommended by us!

We’ve just returned from a fantastic week at Jane’s cottage in Robin Hood’s Bay and couldn’t be happier. The cottage is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped with everything a family could need. It was the perfect base for exploring the coast – peaceful, cosy, and full of charm. Jane was a wonderful host, and everything was spotless on arrival. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Five stars all the way – we’ll be back as soon as we can!

The house in Robin Hoods Bay provided the perfect place for a family holiday. Ideally located in the lower bay near to the beach. Parking nearby a real bonus. It was more spacious than expected and characterfully decorated. The top floor boat bed was a delight. The well equipped kitchen allowed enjoyable meal preparation. Good quality bed linen and towels. If returning to RHB wouldn’t look to stay anywhere else.

Excellent stay at The Piggery. Molly made sure we had all the info we needed prior to arriving. The place itself is beautiful! The weather was quite cold while we were there so we couldn't really make use of the stunning balcony with amazing views! I imagine it is brilliant in the summer. Plenty of shops in Sleight village within a 10/15 minute walk. Train station to get to Whitby is around a 20 minute walk from The Piggery.
