Stay in a traditional Dutch Miller’s Cabin beside an authentic 1632 windmill, surrounded by canals and nature in the North Holland countryside. Hand built during the windmill’s restoration, the cabin offers a peaceful and unique stay while still being close to Alkmaar and only 40 minutes from Amsterdam by train. I am a traditional Dutch miller born and raised in Alkmaar, and my American wife, Kelly, and I enjoy sharing this special place with guests from around the world.

With great enthusiasm, we have renovated our old mansion and restored it to its original state. On the bell floor, we have created an apartment that we now rent out. The house is located in a lively neighborhood, a 5-minute walk to the city center and a 4-minute walk to the train station, from where you can reach Amsterdam Centraal in 34 minutes. The apartment has been recently and carefully renovated and equipped with all comforts, entirely for private use with balcony.

De Buizerd: a super cozy, spacious guest house in the tail of a West Frisian stolpboerderij overlooking the meadows, located close to the beach and the dunes of Bergen and Schoorl. This spacious and cozy house sleeps six adults and/or children. For example, a family with two children and grandparents (who have their bedroom and private bathroom downstairs). Very suitable for girlfriend clubs, bicycle clubs and families, who do not want to be in a holiday park. The house has many original details, which makes it atmospheric and characteristic. The house is connected to the owner's home, but there is plenty of privacy and a spacious private garden.
