House holiday rentals in Hermosa Cóbano Beach

Stayed here for a few days with my family and we loved the house. Very clean, great pool, great layout. There is major construction happening next door though that was extremely disruptive. The construction was happening up high on the roof while we were there so workers were just watching us while we were at the pool, it felt very uncomfortable. We also found screws and nails that had fallen into the yard which was very concerning to my barefoot kids running around. I know it's not the fault of the airbnb but some more notice about the construction to future renters while it continues on would be very helpful.

One of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed in Latin America!!! This home is comfortable, luxury and with everything we need. The location can’t be any better, we didn’t have to rent a car or ATV because it was very easy to get to places. Beach and restaurants are all less than 5 minutes walk. The balcony of the house is so magical, we enjoyed seating on the balcony watching the rain, enjoying the trees and sometimes we can see monkeys from the balcony. The house is very quiet, clean and spacious. Free cleaning service every 4 days. Alejandro was super helpful and responsive! We really felt this is one of the best places to stay in town! We really enjoyed this home!

A beautiful stay, we were greeted by don Elkin with a refreshing lemonade and the visit of a monkey family next to the lodging. The house is fresh, has good ventilation, the kitchen and dining room near the pool are great The beds are like hotel, our nights were great. The area is very rural and there are very rich restaurants, De Raíz and Atardecer Dorado are very good recommendations Bicycles were great for our family Melissa and her team are very helpful and helpful We hope to go back

Everything was amazing including the chef I hired. The massage therapist for my retreat was top notch. Marisel the house manager was top of the line! She was very responsive and took care of all of my needs for my women's retreat as well and scheduled the massages and transportation. Sergio our driver for our excursions was the best. The customer service was phenomenal. My only challenge was I scheduled a beach picnic, and the description said there was a path to the beach. This is a path right along the driveway separated by greenery (not sure why the path was even built when you can just walk down the driveway and end up in the same place and easier. This path includes about 50 steps and about 8/10 cement stepping-stones that lead to a gate, you then walk across the street to another path that's not good for elderly or anyone with knee/hip/leg challenges as it's over debris, rocks, roots, water, mud etc and at least another 1000 steps if not more (not good at distance).

This is the only place we love to stay at in ST! It's perfect for our family of 5. Best things about it are the location-it is steps from the beach and our favorite beach bar Rocamar, proximity to Hermosa beach where our kids surf, and we also love the daily cleaning. We will be back!

Make sure you have 4x4 and book this place, you won’t regret it!!!!!!!

Host was amazing , recommend renting ATVs , host arranged for them to be delivered for us, we loved riding them into town , to the beaches and visited Montezuma and the tide pools. We look forward to renting this property again on our next visit to the area !

My wife and I have been coming to Costa Rica for 16 years. We used to stay in Mal Pais but always found ourselves driving via ATV to Playa Hermosa daily, so we decided to stay where we spent most of our time. On this trip, we brought our two boys (10 and 6), our close friends, and their girls (12 and 8). It was their first time in Costa Rica, and we wanted it to be memorable. Jason, our host, was fantastic, coordinating with us multiple times before our trip to ensure we had everything we needed. We arrived at Casa Nalu after dark & were welcomed by the caretakers, Walter & Ana. The house is stunning, with every detail carefully considered. The pool was perfect for the kids, and the lush property was just as impressive as the interior. The security is top-notch; the property is fenced, and tall native grasses provide privacy as if you're in your little compound. Casa Nalu was the ideal home base, with the beach nearby, Super Hermosa for groceries, and TP8 for amazing pizza!

I am basing my review on my interactions with the host, Geraldo. AirBnBs ratings are competitive so I will rate this unconventionally. There are some improvements to be made, but being a new listing and host, Geraldo seems committed to making this into an ideal AirBnB. People booking should be aware this is “off the beaten path”. If you don’t know how roads can be in rural Costa Rica (sometimes rough) and unwilling to experience OR you hope to be closer to all the action, this one isn’t for you. BUT if you want some peace from the hustle of Santa Teresa and to experience Costa Rican nature like listening to howler monkeys in the bush, this place delivers. It does have good proximity for getting down to the beaches. The whole house has hot water! The a/c is cold, deck has nice views. Pool is more of a soaker tub. Beds were comfy for us. Kitchen fully equipped with stove/oven. The host is super responsive. Non-Ticos, plan to filter or bring in bottled water as precaution.

This is truly a beautiful home! We slept so well every night being away from the noise and the crowds. Andres is an amazing host. He is super friendly and welcoming and he was quick to fix things as soon as we communicated. Highly recommended!

We had such an amazing stay at Richard’s home! It has everything you need for your stay and the most beautiful beach view. Richard and Maria were  wonderful hosts, they were so helpful and kind. The home was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location is very peaceful and close to so many great restaurants. We especially liked Rocamar, which is conveniently right next door. Our stay could not have been any better and we did not want to leave! I would highly recommend Richard’s place, and hope to visit again someday!

Perfect hidden gem right next to awesome beach

This house is beautiful and very well located. All you need for your vacations at the beach. Great kitchen with all the accesories.

There were six of us at Felicitas's house and we had a wonderful time. The pool is amazing and was especially loved by our kids. The house is the last house in front of the entrance to the national park. We have seen many animals from the garden - including red macaws, howler monkeys, scorpions, and the toads in the pond. On the terraces we could eat very well and sit in the evening. A car is recommended as we did not see any buses there.

Absolutely fantastic - 5 stars! We had a wonderful time at this place! The view is simply breathtaking!! Waking up every morning with a view like this is priceless. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained, you can immediately see how much value is placed on quality here. The hostess was incredibly friendly, warm and helpful. She was there for us with tips about the area and made our stay even more pleasant. We would recommend this accommodation without hesitation and would love to come back! The villa is gorgeous! We really loved it, the design is very unique with stunning view! The location is very comfortable, few minutes ride from the tide pools, and the other beaches of Mal Pais. Away from the mess of Santa Teresa, but yet close enough to visit for restaurents, beaches, and morning bakery. Judita was very nice and responsive, helped us with everything we needed. The house is really immersed in nature, as you live on a tree together with the wild life. Very unique place!

Jon's place is an architectural masterpiece, nestled amidst breathtaking vistas. The attention to detail will cause you to admire every nook and cranny. And Jon himself made us feel like royalty with his charm and care. The WiFi offers 200/14 Mbps, so staying connected was a breeze. The mattresses are firm and comfortable. Foodies, this kitchen is your playground, fully equipped and ready for culinary masterpieces. Excellent showers with good water pressure. An amazing swimming pool that is perfect for a refreshing dip and for watching the birds and monkeys. Because of the louvered doors, the living room had a significant mosquito presence (the bedrooms have mesh screen doors). There were some barking dogs in the neighborhood. Despite these issues, our overall experience was fantastic and we would warmly recommend staying with Jon. Local tip: check out the Blue Mist beach club. It's close by and offers a relaxed atmosphere with huge beanbags to lounge on and watch the sunset.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how clean, beautifully designed, and well-stocked the space was. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful — they made sure we had everything we needed and even left a few personal touches that made us feel right at home. The location was ideal — close enough to everything we wanted to explore, yet peaceful and quiet at night. Had an amazing stay ! Location gives you a real feel of Costa Rica, she was not kidding when she said you need a 4X4 to access the property. Love the home, love the view, and love the easy communication with the host.

Absolutely perfect for our girls’ trip! Villa Koa was everything we hoped for and more. The house is spacious, beautifully laid out, and the beds were super comfy. The backyard and views were absolutely stunning—perfect for relaxing and catching up. Just a heads-up: the villa is nestled in the mountains/jungle, so bugs are part of the experience—but nothing unexpected for the setting and totally manageable. You’ll definitely need a 4x4 with high clearance (we had a Suzuki Jimny and it handled the road great). The house is not walkable to town or restaurants, so having a car is a must. Special shoutout to Sophie, the concierge—she was amazing! She gave us fantastic local recommendations and helped plan some great outings. We had a brief issue with the hot water, but concierge responded immediately and maintenance got it sorted right away. Already planning our return next year—can’t wait!

Casa Tina was a gem. We had a wonderful vacation with our 3-generation family. We particularly enjoyed the pool and the outdoor facility. Thank you!
