Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Hessequa Local Municipality

Stayed at this amazing holiday house and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Mickaelé was an incredibly friendly and helpful host, making us feel right at home. The house itself is stunning, with breathtaking views of the lagoon and ocean, and it’s equipped with everything you could need. It’s the perfect getaway spot - peaceful, beautiful, and so well thought out. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended! Views are to die for, better described as magical. Host was very attentive. Witsand is the perfect spot to unwind and really feel like you are on holiday. We'll be back!

Heerlik gekuier in die magnige huis. Ek sou voorstel dat daar genoeg toiletpapier en skottelgoedwasser blokkies gelos word vir die aantal dae wat mens daar lead. Of mens moet vooraf inkennis gestel word dat jy extra self moet saamneem. Daar is nie groot winkels daar nie en toe ons ons after kom ons gaan extra benodig was die "local" winkeltjie reeds toe. Daar was slegs' n toiletrol per badkamer vir 4 mense vir 3 nagt. Daar was ook slegs 2 skottelgoed blokkies vir die masjien vir die 3 dae. Ek het nie 'n probleem om dit self saam te neem nie, maar dan moet mens vooraf kennis dra daarvan. Orals anders waar ons gebly het in die 3 weke het ek presies vooraf geweet dat daar sekere fasaliteite is en wat ons self moes saamneem. Veral as dit 'n klein dorpie is waar daar nie eintlik winkels is nie. Die verblyf was wonderlik, skoon en vriendelike gasvrou. Wifi het gewerk en dit was' n Winige spoed ook. Ek sal weer daar gaan oorbly!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful—spacious, clean, and instantly felt like home. It’s in a fantastic location, just a short walk to the water with a perfect jetty. We rented a boat and had so much fun exploring the area. Communication with Madi was excellent—she was super helpful and even arranged for wood to be delivered for us. The neighbours were lovely too, which just added to the warm and welcoming vibe. Highly recommend this place and we’ll definitely be back!

We were enraptured with Michelle's gorgeous cottage. It is beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need and many wonderful artistic touches, which make it so unique. The bed was so spacious and comfortable The cottage is set in exquisite gardens with stunning scenic views from the front stoep and gave us total privacy. An extra private garden area at the back was a bonus. The leafy village was in a beautiful setting and felt safe and friendly to walk around. We were invited to their New Years eve street party. The highlight of our stay was meeting Michelle, who was warm and welcoming and who went above and beyond to make our stay delightful. All communication with Michelle was easy and helpful. (Even when we had to trouble her re an item we left behind Michelle went out of her way to help resolve this) She booked us in at her nearby restaurant 'Mud modern' for New Years eve, where we were looked after from start to finish. The food was excellent. Thanks again.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The villa is incredible—spacious, stylish, and in a stunning location. The host was amazing, welcoming us with fresh bread and beverages, which was such a thoughtful touch. We were blown away by the attention to detail and the warm hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay here. The host and owner were both very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and comfortable, and had everything you would need for your stay. We worked remotely from here and the setup was perfect. It was very accessible to the lagoon for kitesurfing. Also had a nice big area for washing kiting gear.

We had a lovely stay at Wind and Waters apartment, perfect place for a family getaway. The description matched perfectly and prompt response to our communication. We will most definitely be back.

Great place with AMAZING views. A bit dated as many places in SA and the wind is very noisy whistling through windows and doors. Would happily stay again and great for a group of friends or family who fish or kitesurf.

Wonderful stay in Jongensfontein with beautiful view and comfortable clean accommodation!

I would highly recommend for any single person or couple visiting Swellendam. Even though you are in town you look out across the river and big trees which creates the sense of being on a farm. Bed was very comfortable and flexible check-in.

What an amazing experience! Our family of four loved our stay, we will definitely visit this gem again. The unit had everything we needed, and the views of the Breede River is just magical.

My husband, teenage daughter and I stayed the night and we loved it. It felt like a Greek villa. Our view of the sea was lovely. Johannes was very helpful, and we were grateful for Hannie who welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. The shower was wonderful (hard pressure and hot), the place was clean and comfortable, and we slept well. The neighbourhood seems safe and as if it has a good sense of community.

The Hacienda is the perfect place to unwind, braai and gaze at an incredible views for a few days. We got unlucky with the weather as it rained for half our time there, so if you are visiting in winter definitely take food that doesn’t need to be bbq’d or cooked in an oven and some games - definitely somewhere I would want to come back to in the summer! Very beautiful location. Perfect for relaxing, hiking, walking, cycling and braaing. We highly recommend Sam’s Place to anyone looking to spend time participating in the above.

The house is huge with more than enough space for everyone to relax. Fantastic Jetty and lovely part of the river for water sports. Great big entertainment area with indoor braai for all weather.

We stayed one night and really wish we were staying longer! The house is amazing, the grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed exploring the eating and drinking options in the village. Joe and Esther are friendly and provided great suggestions. We enjoyed our stay and if we come back to South Africa in the future this is on our list to return! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Beautiful surroundings, spacious villa Well equip kitchen with everything needed. Beds are comfortable, with fresh clean linen. Would like to stay at the other kleine windpompie accommodation. Peaceful with a stunning view. Recommended for big families.

One of the best Airbnb spots we've stayed in and very accommodating host, Dene. The house was very well equipped and spacious, with great views. The weather wasn't perfect and there were plenty of games and puzzles to keep us busy for when it was raining. The walk down to the beach and tidal pool are worth it and not too far. One of the most beautiful beaches we've seen for long walks and kids could play in rock pools at low tide. Thank you, we will definitely be visiting Vleesbaai again and would love to stay in the same place!

It was an incredible break. Our dogs and kids loved the freedom of the lawn. The view is so great that you find yourself constantly looking at the mountain. Roger and Panda (the staff) were very helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed the walk up the mountain. Truly a very special place, worth the visit and definitely a place to go back to one day.
