We enjoyed the BBQ as a family. Barbecuing with children and grandchildren was exceptional. The garden was spacious and open.It was a wonderful memory for a lifetime. Thank you very much. I am grateful for the lovely accommodation. Thank you.

Such a homely place! Place was big and there are lots of eateries around. Everything was perfect. Many facilities were provided which helped us a lot eg usage of washing machine. Will come again when I visit Matsumoto.

We loved our stay at Kagura's place! If our schedule had permitted so, we would have gladly stayed another week. The house is not brand new, but everything works well and it actually feels like staying at a well-loved home instead of the many cold AirBnB's you find these days. Everything has been carefully thought about, and just works. The house is well located for all Matsumoto attractions, such as the castle, the frog street and the museum. It is also well positioned for taking your car (or a train) somewhat further afield. We walked a section of the Nakasendo trail, and were able to visit the Snow Monkey park and Nagano with ease. Lastly, the fantastic level of service and help we have received just amazed us. Many five-star accomodations should take note and we are very grateful how the host went above and beyond to help us reclaim an item that was very important to us. If you are considering Matsumoto, especially with a family, look no further!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sous Place. As a young family, we appreciated the spacious and well-appointed rooms, including a balcony, a washing machine, and a fully equipped kitchen. Conveniently located nearby were a 7-Eleven and a supermarket, and a small playground was just a stone’s throw away. While walking with the kids to town was a bit of a trek, there was a bus (though with an irregular schedule), and walking as adults took about 20 minutes. We rented a car for a few days (which we recommend to explore the area) enjoying the easy parking possibility. However, the highlight of our stay was Sous himself. His quick wit and proactive assistance were truly impressive. He went above and beyond to help us on rainy days, recommending fantastic children-friendly activities. On our last day, he even invited us to join his family, showcasing the warm hospitality of Japan. These moments made our week in Matsumoto truly unforgettable.
