KAIWA NO SATO This old house is an indigo mansion built in the first year of the Bunsei era (1804) during the heyday of indigo. The main house and the sleeping area (a barn where indigo was stored) have been demolished due to aging, but the historic living room and garden have been preserved to allow guests to experience a little bit of that time, and it is used as a farmhouse inn. In the old days, "Indigofera" grew on the fertile land of the Yoshino River basin in Tokushima Prefecture, bringing great wealth to Tokushima Prefecture (Awa Province). Ancient documents on indigo, including cultural properties, are also available for viewing. In the school courtyard, we built three guest cottages and a Goemon bath, and one vacant classroom as a tent room, and a limited number of stays that can accommodate up to 18 people in total.Please use it in a friendly family or a small training camp. There is no meal without meals.Please bring amenities such as towels with you.Shampoo is only in the Goemon bath. You can use it at the basic price + number of people, so please be sure to apply for the number of people accurately. The symbolic wooden school building is currently inaccessible due to aging, but there is enough space for free use such as a gymnasium and BBQ building. It is very quiet surrounded by mountains, but many reviews are that the location is inconvenient (laughs).It is an abandoned school in the mountains of the countryside.Thank you for your understanding. In June, you can also see the fantastic scenery of fireflies. There are no supermarkets in the mountains, so please prepare food and drinks in advance when visiting. In addition, the site is now a seedling workshop, and there are some places that are not allowed to enter.Thank you for your understanding.
