The downstairs apartment is available for AirBnB guests. Our home is on the lake in the Foothills of NC with water sports in our back yard. Great atmosphere, views, lake, and R&R. The apartment includes one bedroom (1 king size bed, 1 queen foam mattress), a living room, an entertainment area with pool table and darts. It also has a full private bath. The apartment steps out onto a private lower deck overlooking the lake. Our place is good for couples, adventurers, business people, and families.

The house has its own boat ramp so if you want to bring your own boat you can. If not there are places to rent them from. Hope you come and enjoy our piece of paradise.

Calm, Clean, Safe & completely remodeled 1 bed room home. King size bed. House has sleeper sofa and a small study nook. (Ideally for two). Relaxing back porch. Kitchen has an island with 2 stools all modern look. House has Wifi, Netflix, Hulu and Disney channels. This is a very small home 6ft low shower. with great quality items. Nice place to relax. Perfectly centered 5 min drive to lake, or LR University, 10 min to Downtown Hickory. 11 min to I-40. Pots, Plates, Appliances.

This was place was just something else! The surroundings were astounding, and the home was very spacious. Not only that but you even get to be with a cat in there, the most gentle and calm cat I have ever met. I would absolutely recommend this house and would love to come back.

Such a charming place! The layout of the house was great, and we loved being able to park in the back. The host thought of the little extras - throw blankets, shampoo/conditioner and body wash, and sound machines in the bedrooms! I was able to take long walks in the morning and felt completely safe in the neighborhood. I would definitely stay there again!

My wife was born and raised in the area and knew this location was perfect for all the directions we wanted to go during our visit. If you are interested in have an authentic experience of the Hickory area this neighborhood is it! The hosts were incredible with communication and the home was clean enough we had no issue with our 1 year old being the typical one year (eating the snacks she dropped or rolling around in the floor). The price was also less than the hotel reservation we had initially made in Hickory (off LR Blvd) so that was what sealed the deal for us. We can’t wait to visit again!

Susanne is a wonderful host. She is very responsive and easy to work with. She gave us lots of helpful recommendations and checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed. If you're working in the Hickory Metro area and need a place for a longer stay, this is a great choice!
