Veteran's Cabin Shimla - Stargazing, By Baan Homes

A quiet homestay in the middle of A jungle full of oak and pine trees, made by my father who has served in army, that's why the name veteran's cabin. The cabin follow Scandinavian design in architecture with A shape and is made with rocks from outside and fine pine wood from inside which makes it very warm during winter months. To survive the harsh winters of Shimla, we've added a wood stove inside the cabin to maintain the temperature even when it's snowing outside.

Take a Lazy and Slow Holiday at our unique and secluded cottage. Our cottage is Kathkuni-built, made using upcycled timber and 18inch natural stones that keeps the room insulated at all times, it also has rustic mud interiors that adds to the insulation. There's a beautiful and a very spacious balcony and we are sure you are going to spend most of your time there. We also have an experiential kitchen at our property where we make multi-cuisine food freshly on order.

An all-season mud hut built in traditional Himachali style with all modern amenities. The hut is set within a beautiful fruit orchard at the edge of the Great Himalayan National Park. It is a wonderful place to witness all seasons be it snow in winters, cherry blossoms in spring, fruit-laden orchards in summer. The village host family home is 50 metres away from the hut. The hut offers complete privacy and solitude and the hosts are at an accessible distance.
