Visit the village's award winning pub and other excellent local eateries then walk off the calories around Sywell Reservoir. Our best kept secret is Northamptonshire - 'the county of squires and spires'. An Ideal base for working locally: hotels can be too impersonal. Nearest rail, Wellingborough. Host lives next door.

Trinity: luxury lodge in a stunning, lake location

At Cambridgeshire Lakes, we believe that your holiday should start from the moment you drive down our rural, tree-lined track and into the serenity of our stunning lakeside location. The lodge provides a stylish and comfortable accommodation for couples or groups of four people. Hillcrest is a stone cottage dating back to the 1700s set within rolling countryside in the quiet hamlet of Preston Capes. This peaceful and beautifully renovated cottage offers all the charm of a period cottage, with the convenience and comfort of modern living. The cottage has a private walled garden and outdoor eating area. There are several good pubs/restaurants within easy driving distance or a walk for the more energetic guests (Fawsley Hall or The Plough at Everdon).

The Barn at the Old George and Dragon

The village of Pavenham is situated just 6 miles north of Bedford. Surrounded by the beautiful setting of the River Ouse, the village has a magnificent golf club and a pub right in the centre. Just 100 metres from the Old George and Dragon, the COCK does not provide food at the moment, but a great atmosphere. However, 5 minutes drive away is the SUN at Felmersham which does good food. Several places in Bedford deliver takeaways. Ideal for walkers on the John Bunyan Trail.

We have put a lot of care and attention into our unique log cabin, hot tub and private garden. Access is through our separate secure entrance to the bespoke garden. When inside feel free to enjoy a relaxing night under the stars, ideal for a couple or solo travellers. The Secret Corner is the perfect base to explore local areas including Woburn, Wrest Park and a short ride away to Flitwick Train Station with direct access to London St Pancras in less than an hour.

Situated on the fringe of a picturesque North Bedfordshire village, Middle Cottage is perfect for a peaceful breakaway. Country strolls, a round of golf at award winning Pavenham Park Golf Club, or a drink at the local pub are all a stone's throw away. Ideally located for day-trips to London, Cambridge or Oxford, or just stay at home, enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside and snuggle up with a book in front of the wood burner.
