Nishimura Residence is an old-fashioned Nara-machiya that has been standing on a piece of Nara-machi for more than 100 years. I was a “grandmother” for a long time when I was a child. In Nara Town, there is a pleasant despicable feeling that never changes. "I want to be filled with this pleasant contempt even for future generations." With that in mind, I took care of the empty Nishimura Residence. - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

Kyoto Seifu-an is a private accommodation in a Kyomachiya house, located a short distance from the Shirakawa River in Higashiyama Sanjo. Also, the alley in front has little traffic, very quiet, and you can spend plenty of relaxing time. Kyoto Seifu-an is a 4-minute walk from Higashiyama Station on the Tozai Subway Line, where you can walk to nearby temples, walk to Heian Shrine, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu Temple, and Gion. It is an entire private space, but in case of an emergency, you can contact the staff 24 hours a day by mobile phone and email, so you can stay with peace of mind. We will accommodate your request before your stay, check-in, and luggage storage after check-out as much as possible.

Please experience or your friends and genuine good old Japanese life with your family. Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee.

We restored Machiya while keeping the original structure in order to provide you with a traditional Japanese experience with local atmosphere.This house is for only private use and has only one floor with Japanese style room, shower room, washroom, sink and small garden.
