Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Honaunau-Napoopoo

A great area to stay at - I'm really glad we chose this Airbnb! The cooler weather was welcome and mountainous scenery was beautiful.

Lovely location, thoughtful amenities and a wonderful Lanai, (porch) where we were able to sit and have breakfast or best, view the sunsets every night.

Fantastic stay - best place to stay on the Big Island! What an amazing location, with a fantastic view! Private and relaxing, looking out onto coffee trees and the ocean. The place is everything that's promised and more. Great kitchen for cooking dinner if you don't feel like going out, an amazing outdoor shower, a GIANT TV for the times you want to just relax, and outdoor space that's private and tranquil. Everyone I communicated with was immediately responsive, and had suggestions for places to go (especially coffee farms), and responded very quickly. I can't recommend this place enough - we may be coming back again and staying here if it's available again! PS - the frogs: some people may love them, some may not like the noise. I didn't mind them at all at night, and had a white noise app in case they were very vocal (especially after the rain). Never did see one. Oh! And considering it's in the upcountry, no bugs/minimal wildlife, nothing to stress you out!

We highly recommend staying at Santai Cottage. The setting was very beautiful, peaceful and private. We enjoyed having the beach gear, hot tub and option to cook our own meals. Lots of windows and covered porches for a true indoor/outdoor living experience. We had everything we needed for an excellent stay. Thank you Karen, you were a great host!

First thing I must say is that the beds were very comfortable! The location was great, not too far from Kona activity but far enough away you can feel like you’re in the quiet country. (Minus the charming frogs at night but it was cool enough to shut the windows). Excellent view of the ocean. Having laundry was so helpful. We had 5 people there. A little tight… perfect for 4 but it was fine for 5 using pull out couch. Would definitely stay again!

We wanted to stay somewhere away from the city and have more of a genuine Hawaiin experience and we couldn't have been happier with our time at Kat and Joe's. Their property is serene, the proximity to the beautiful beaches is perfect and they are kind, welcoming hosts. We hope to stay there again sometime soon!

First of all, the area was amazing!! Manini beach was literally a 2-3 minute walk down the road for great snorkeling (gear is provided, if you need it) with a path for some amazing sunsets. There are a couple of fruit stands in the neighborhood, which was great for my mother’s daily banana stroll. You can see the bay from the amazing lanai that we spent so much time on to watch the snorkelers, kayakers and dolphins. The house itself was great! Split into half, with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on either side, separated by an open concept living room and kitchen. The dining room is outside…where else would you want to sit down and eat? There were A/Cs in the bedrooms if you needed them, but the ocean breeze was usually enough for most of my party. There were lots of spices in the cabinets for cooking and some staples leftover from past renters. The long, winding and narrow roads make some great scenery, but also make your trip to anywhere else a bit long. I would definitely stay again.

Incredible place! Beautiful gardens. Walking distance to beach. Great location for day trips. Jill has an amazing attention to detail and the spacious studio displays all of her artistic prowess. It's truly a sanctuary to unwind and chill out. Do yourself a favor and book it for as long as your vacation allows.

The location is great, with an amazing ocean view. The host is friendly, making everything easy. No complicated house rules and check-out to-do list 🙌 Also, I loved that they provided beach chairs and an umbrella—definitely made my beach days a lot better. If you're looking for a laid-back spot to relax, highly recommend it!

My second time here -- the best house, with the kindest hosts. Well-stocked kitchen and living space, and I love this neighborhood so much.

I enjoyed my stay in Kona. This place was exactly as advertised and looked just like the pictures. Thomas was super proactive and responsive to all of my needs. Check in was easy and clear instruction for check in and check out were provided. Amenities included a wide selection of beach items which was fantastic. Location was wonderful with walkable access to several popular but never crowded beaches. Private parking was a plus. I recommend.

One of the most well-appointed places we've ever stayed. They've really thought of everything. Comfortable bed. Clear and precise driving directions. Incredible assortment of kitchen things if you'll be cooking. Beach equipment. Just so many thoughtful things. We chose it for the proximity to the airport to accommodate our late arrival. Very convenient, only about a 15 minute drive.

Wow and wow! Joyce and Zac have gone above and beyond to create a space that is comfortable and private. While the accommodations are indeed attached to their home, the retreat presents like a private apartment. The kitchen is well-stocked, making it easy to cook in for meals, if desired. Nothing has been forgotten concerning the little touches that make traveling easier, so we would consider this rental much better than a hotel. There is no air-conditioning, but numerous fans are provided and we were comfortable during our June stay. The online pictures very accurately depict what you'll see when you arrive. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We whole-heartedly recommend this rental and plan to return on our next trip to Kona.

The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had every amenity we could ask for. The view was nothing short of breathtaking, and sipping coffee on the lanai while listening to the birds was pure paradise. The host was exceptional—friendly and responsive! Whether you're here for adventure or relaxation, this place delivers it all. I’m already dreaming about our next visit!

We had a fantastic stay at Adam’s peaceful home near Kona. The property is quiet, beautifully maintained, and just a 7-minute drive to town — the perfect mix of nature and convenience. The space was spotless and fully stocked with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the beach chairs, towels, umbrella, and the relaxing hot tub. Honestly, the hot tub was even more soothing than an onsen we’ve experienced in Japan — especially with the surrounding sounds of birds and rustling trees. The full kitchen made it easy to cook, and we loved having dinners outside under the stars. The deck and garden felt like a private retreat — calm, lush, and peaceful. Nature’s sounds at night were magical. Adam was an amazing host — warm, responsive, and thoughtful. And his sweet dog and cat made us smile every time we saw them — they added a lovely, homely touch. We highly recommend this place to couples looking for a quiet, cozy escape on the Big Island. We’d love to return. Mahalo!

Suzanne’s place was located close to one of our favorite snorkeling spots - Kahalu’u Bay. It’s just a short drive away, as is the KTA Superstore. You can walk to the Outrigger hotel to watch the sunset and see manta rays drawn to the lights in the water just off shore at night.

I stayed here for nearly a week at Kirk's condo and I am very satisfied with the place. It's located in a central area close to the Kailua Boardwalk and a few resorts. He's also transparent and very communicative on the check in and check out processes. I highly recommend Kirk's place if you want to stay in Kona. Mahalo nui loa Kirk!

The beach gear was so much fun for our beach days, the location was great and close to pretty much everything we wanted to do on the trip, we loved our morning coffee on the lanai, and the decor was a plus, loved it all! Beautiful stay. Beautiful majestic views and conveniently located close to the airport and Kona activities. The place was clean and had everything one could need. The kitchen was useful for cooking our own meals and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. I also loved seeing the little animals in the neighbors yard next door. The place had extra towels, blankets and other supplies you may need that made this place a great stay. I highly recommend.

Our stay here was perfect. Location was amazing right by the beach at a peaceful community, great for viewing sunrise/sunset. The place was just as pictured, very clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

place was beautiful! spacious and very well kept. location was great just a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of the strip down the road. host was responsive and helpful!

We read reviews about bugs and a bad smell, however we had no issues with either. Place felt very clean and smelled great, has all the amenities and appliances that we needed. Even had a boogie board in the closet that we could use which was fun! Overall great place, right by tons of restaurants and stores as well as the shoreline.
