Lovely Lakeside Cottage for 6 on a Private Lake

Sarah was, by far, the best host we have ever had. I had a lot of questions before we booked and she answered every one of them, was really patient with me and took a lot of time to be sure I had all the info I wanted. The house is really nice. Beds are very comfy. The master bath is big. Sarah thought of EVERYTHING in terms of amenities. I needed a shower cap, and she had one. We needed a first aid kit, and she had one. We needed a light bulb, and she had one. She stocked things you would never think of. Her response time is super fast. We loved the kayaks, deck in the tree and the swings. I can't say enough about how wonderful Sarah was. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

Cozy Cottage on Secluded Cove

We loved our restfilled stay! The home was clean and updated. From the moment we walked in it just felt light, airy and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything a person could need and well organized. All the little things were thought of.. from coffee for the Keurig, many extra toiletries / amenities, extra hooks in the bathrooms and closets, comfy throw blankets on the furniture and lots of games and books. We also enjoyed using the peddle boat on the quiet little inlet of the lake.. from the turtles, frogs, fish and the Blue Heron, there was so much to see. We also walked all around neighborhood and the neighbors were very nice. Restaurants in town had great food as well.

Aaron is an excellent host, he replied to any of our questions within minutes. Aaron’s place was beautiful. The chickens and the goats were amazing to play with. Very relaxing and refreshing atmosphere along the river. Will be definitely back again.

Such a great time! We didn’t have much time to hangout and fully enjoy the property but for the weekend stay and getting back around 7-9 I must say what a wonderful and serene place to just sit down and relax after a long day. House was all in order as described, plenty of room for all the cars and people to spread out and sleep. We had 11 adults, brought a cot and air mattress which didn’t get used and we still had beds or places that weren’t slept in. I’m any direction you go it just feels like your up north and out in the woods! Great restaurants around the area and Can’t say enough great things about or stay and experience we had here in Hastings at Erin’s place. 10/5 would stay there again and hope we have more time to enjoy the beautiful lake and property! Thank you very much!

Small Town Lake Cottage

This place was perfect for a long weekend away for our out if state family. The Lake was a bit different than the pictures, but the water level is low and no way for the owner to control that. Several neighbors offered our boys the ability to fish from their docks. This was so kind and the kids appreciated it (and caught many fish). We would recommend this place for sure!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful, clean lake house! The home itself was spotless, with fresh and comfortable bed linens and towels, and everything was very well maintained. The location on the lake is stunning—perfect for swimming, kayaking, and enjoying the outdoors. The included amenities like lawn furniture and kayaks were a great bonus and really added to our experience. The kids especially had a blast swimming and catching fish and turtles—it was definitely a memorable trip for them! A few things to note for future guests: the property is a bit farther from a downtown area than we expected, so be prepared for a bit of a drive to restaurants, grocery stores, and local attractions. It's also not very walkable—there’s no sidewalk or beach path around the property, just the road. While the porch areas were great, we did miss having a canopy or covered area to sit outside during the occasional rain. There is a patio umbrella provided, but a covered space would’ve made it even
