Cottage holiday rentals in Hornby Island

Josha and Sam's cabin was perfect. It was very private, despite their home being next door. It was very quiet and peaceful and very clean! I would definitely stay at this cabin again. Thank you Josha and Sam for your hospitality! Denise

This place is really special and exactly as it looks in the photos (but better in person!) We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace in the mornings, and listening to the local birds in the trees that surround the cabin. The view from the terrace is really magnificent!! We also indulged in the wood fired hot tub to make the most out of the beautiful forest surroundings. This stay was really one to remember, and I'm already dreaming about coming back another time. The roadside parking space had plenty of room for one car, two vehicles would be a tight squeeze.

Jacquie place was outstanding and matched the pictures and description. Her place was cozy and had all the items (kitchen ware, linens, etc.) that you would need to feel at home, as well as backups which is always nice. Her property was on many acres, with owls, ravens and her horses which made the experience even more memorable - the hot tub was also a wonderful way to start and end the days. She was an excellent communicator and it was a wonderful first time experience to Mayne Island.

Carol’s place was AMAZING! The kitchen had everything needed to make meals for dining in, which we did a lot of because THAT VIEW!! We didn’t want to leave, just wanted to sit and watch for marine life. We saw seals, dolphins, eagles, and a family of 6 sea otters playing. When the evening started to cool we moved our binoculars to the hot tub to continue enjoying the views and serenity. My family agreed the beds were comfy and we all slept well. If you are looking for a go go go vacay Pender Island is not your place. If you want easy hikes in gorgeous surroundings, peace that reaches your very core, and super friendly people I definitely recommend Pender Island! The didc golf course has discs for public use and was really fun! Driftwood shopping center has all you will need. We recommend Sea Star Winery and a stop at Bee Wild distillery for tastings. We HIGHLY recommend Carol’s place!

Nicole's place is amazing, great communication and everything is as she described. she was super helpful with anything we needed! The yard is quiet and private. there is a shared pool and hot tub not to mention mini golf was so much fun. I will definitely be staying again if given the chance.

This place is such a hidden gem! Our stay was absolutely wonderful and both Hugh & Deb went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable and had every amenity we could think of. We left there wanting to book our stay for the next time we return to the island. Honestly 10/10 doesn’t cut it.

This might be the first time I give 5 stars for an airbnb and it is absolutely well deserved. Julie and Johns place was beautiful, clean, quiet, and peaceful. The privacy and natural setting was well worth the price. The hosts were very thoughtful and had the placed stocked with all that you would need for a comfortable stay. The tall trees, sounds of birds, and animal sightings (eagles and deer) made it hard to want to leave! We truly loved our stay!

This place had it all: beautiful scenery, great amenities, clear instructions, and a short drive to dozens of amazing locations in the area. It was the perfect and peaceful place to unwind after a busy week, and we’d love to come back again some day!

Kevan's home is thoughtfully decorated, cozy and comfortable. There is lots of seating, indoors and out making it a great place for our family to hang out together. The kitchen is fully equipped, and all appliances function well. The beds are comfortable and everyone slept well. The standout is the spectacular garden. A true oasis. The cabin was a great place to get away for a little peace and quiet. Quadra island is a very beautiful place to visit. Jerry's place allowed us to really enjoy the island with a nice central place to bike around from. We will for sure look to stay here again in future visits.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your cozy oceanfront paradise!!! We felt right at home and felt honoured to be able to spend time in what is obviously such a cherished family cabin. The location is absolutely incredible and we really appreciate how well stocked the whole cabin is with games, kitchen items, etc. We especially loved the sunroom and our kids loved cuddling up and reading books on the couch in there. This place was very quiet and peaceful. Off the beaten path just a bit, but close enough to all of the amenities. Jennifer was very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend a stay at this property.

Milton Cottage was a lovely respite for us, with a nice cozy cottage, lovely private garden surrounding us, peace and quiet, and a nice comfy king size bed. Thank you Connie for welcoming us, for being flexible with check in and check out times too. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to others. Perhaps we will have an opportunity yo come back as well.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was incredibly relaxing, clean, and cozy—perfect for unwinding. Everything was thoughtfully set up and very comfortable. The outdoor toilet and shower were not only convenient but also surprisingly charming, adding to the unique experience. Our host was accommodating, friendly, and easy to reach whenever we had a question. We are already planning to come back.

This cottage was a comfortable and well positioned for a magnificent view of Port Browning Harbour. Susanne was a friendly and gracious hostess who took pride in and gave care to the newly-built hilltop cottage. All of the basic amenities were supplied, etc but most importantly is its location, location, location.

We loved our stay at Tara's place! We spent Easter with our three teenaged kids and had the best time. The home is welcoming and cozy, the beds comfortable, all the towels and toiletries we needed. The master bedroom was more spacious than expected so we put a mattress on the floor for our 3rd kid. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some, including condiments and things for cooking proper meals. The house was so clean and spotless that I literally double-checked the listing to see if we were the first people ever to rent the place (nope). But what stole the show was the view - we couldn't believe our eyes when we woke up and stepped out onto the deck, and took in the peaceful bay with the mountains in the background. The private dock is icing on the cake, and we dropped our paddleboards in for a paddle around. The area is remote so bring your major groceries with you, but there's a wee store in town plus the backeddy pub (fish + chips!) and a food truck (ceviche!) nearby

One of my favorite airbnbs that I’ve stayed at! It was a magical weekend! The house was very cute and dainty, perfect for a girls weekend. There were beautiful flowers from her garden all throughout the house. There was also a beautiful barrel sauna overlooking the lake. We would have a sauna session then run into the lake and back into the sauna. Then we finished the day with a romantic pizza dinner with the pizza oven being right in the garden area. The lake had a fun slide and diving board which we took full advantage of and we also walked to the local pub which was only a 15 minute walk. There was a beautiful hike right up the road with a fun swing hanging from a tree at the top. It was the perfect girls weekend and I would definitely book this again!
