There is peace and quiet here, apart from the birds singing, but nearby is the vacation town of Juelsminde with a large nature playground and restaurants The beach is 1.2 km away. Legoland (50 km) is an obvious destination, and the charming cities of Aarhus, Horsens, and Vejle make for nice day trips. Start the day with coffee on the terrace and enjoy the beautiful view of the fjord. Take a walk in the garden, where there are two small lakes and lots of nature to explore. Only 800 meters from the house you will find the sea, which offers beautiful walks along the water all year round. In less than 10 minutes drive is Juelsminde, a cozy coastal town, cafes and some of the area's ice cream. You can also go to Snaptun, from where ferries sail to the peaceful islands of Hjarnø and Endelave – perfect for a day trip in nature.

Dyrekærhusets log cabin

The log cabin is located in the most beautiful and serene nature. You can walk in Dyrekærskoven, sit by the creek, watch the wildlife or go on small hikes - one overlooking the Horsens fjord. You can relax in an outdoor hot tub (from April to October). We have four cute goats that you can talk to and feed. If you have children, there is a swing, a zip line from the forest, a trampoline, basketball, a soccer goal, and plenty of opportunities for outdoor play. Dyrekærhuset is suitable for retreating. The log cabin is heated.

Gudenå Annex

Relax with the family in this peaceful home close to Gudenåen. We are a family of two adults and our 3 children, aged 2-8, who rent out our extra guest house/annex in the garden. You will enter our private garden and, during your stay with us, will share the garden with us as a common area. There is also the possibility that you can be a little more private, as you will have your own terrace attached to the annex. Of course, we respect if you want it more private, but playing children in the garden can occur.😊
