La Casa de Jeronimo is the perfect place to unwind and relax after your adventure filled days. The rustic style maintains the essence of the typical homes of the region, while providing very comfortable accommodations and breathtaking views. It is located within steps of the magnificent Mirador of Salento with stunning views of the Cocora Valley. The town’s main street shops, offering unique arts & crafts, restaurants, and nightlife hot spots are just a couple of blocks away from the house.

The space
Each room has its own private full bathroom. We provide fine linens, towels, shower gel and shampoo, plenty of hot water, a fully equipped kitchen, beautiful common areas and breathtaking views.

Guest access
Guests can enjoy the awesome view of the town and the mountain range from the front porch right outside their room. There are rocking chairs and dining tables in the common areas. They also have access to a fully equipped kitchen where they can make coffee, tea and full meals.

Please note that the property is located on a hill, which can be challenging for guests with mobility needs.

Other things to note
Salento is a serene place, but it is also full of life with its commerce and unique arts & crafts industry. It is visited by people from all over the world. Be sure to take a leisurely stroll down the Calle Real to visit fun local shops, art galleries and historic homes. The local artesanos use many different techniques with watercolor, acrylic and resin. There are also many examples of the local fashion tejidos, jewelry made from local gold and silversmiths, fine clothing, pirograbados, woodwork, beautiful crafts made of Guadua (a local tree from the bamboo family), incredible loom works, and quilts.
Salento is part of the Paisaje Cultural Cafetero, declared by UNESCO as part of the World’s Cultural Heritage in 2011. This area is part of an ecosystem of Bosque de Niebla or Misty Mountain Forest with its characteristic flora and fauna, many of which are on the endangered species lists. We welcome you to a land that is full of beauty and mystery. We invite you to learn about the hard working Campesino and most of all to relax surrounded by the majestic Andes Mountains.
