It is right on the clifftop North West Coastal Path overlooking the Irish Sea and experiences fabulous sunsets but is also on the doorstep of the tranquil Western Lake District being very near to Buttermere and Crummock Water. The English Lake District is now a World Heritage Site. Book in May to visit the world famous Rannerdale Bluebells. The village of Harrington is also close to the town of Workington and Whitehaven.

Our cosy, open plan ‘studio’ style accommodation for 2 is in the beautiful Lake District National Park, overlooking the fields & fells and 10 miles from the Solway coast, beaches & harbours. Granted UNESCO World Heritage Status in 2017, this area makes an ideal base for touring NW Cumbria, cycling, hiking fells & round lakes, climbing, canoeing, an en-route stopover for the Coast to Coast Cycle Route or a peaceful, romantic location for a countryside retreat.

Toddell Barn

Toddell Barn forms part of our traditional Lakeland longhouse farm, built in approximately 1710. Toddell Barn sits within approximately 7 acres of agricultural land that helps attract a wide variety of wildlife. Toddell Barn is located in the hamlet of Brandlingill (2 miles south of Cockermouth) and is within the northern boundary of The Lake District National Park, categorised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017.

Our property is in the Western Lake District and set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It has been designed with the explorer in mind, to use a base to discover the surrounding areas. The stunning lakes of Loweswater, Crummock and Buttermere are all approx 20 minutes drive. Keswick being about 35 mins away. The towns of Whitehaven with it's historic harbour and Workington are approx 15 minutes

Camping pod in western lakes

Our beautiful camping pod sleeps 2 adults comfortably but could sleep 3 adults or 2 plus 1 young child. Pet friendly. There is a double bed in the pod. Based on our working farm with panoramic views of local fells and Skiddaw. We have 3 camping pods all sited for guest privacy but could all be hired by friends.
