Holiday rentals with a patio in Hoyvík

I stayed at Sufia's place for 11 days in late May / early June of 2025. It would be difficult to exaggerate what a wonderful experience it was. The apartment itself was super-clean and comfortable. Also, it is very close to nearly everything. That is, within walking distance. So, whether you wanted a pizza, or fish and chips, or a pricey restaurant, even a small shopping mall....yes, there is a small shopping mall....you can walk it. This apartment, like it says in the AirBnB description, is charming. Private entrance private toilet and shower, etc. It was everything I expected - and more. Very homey. In conclusion, whether you are staying in the Faroe Islands just for a short time, or a lengthier time like me, you would be very happy. Couldn't have made a better choice. Kind regards, Terry M.

Perfectly located on a nice and quiet street! Short walking distance from the centre. The apartment is extremely nice and cosy, very clean and beatifully decorated. Highly recommend staying at Guðrun's place!

I enjoyed my stay at Tórun's place, it is at a good location just outside of downtown Tórshavn.

The location was perfect t for seeing all Faroe has to offer. The apartment is centrally located to so many sights. Glad we didn't stay in Torshaven, we would have had a long drive back each day after touring. The apartment has a great view across the water, and a cascading waterfall in the other direction. The location was very private and quiet. A grocery is just a short walk away and has everything. We loved Faroe and loved staying in the apartment.

Jónleyg was a great host and the place is beautiful and cozy. The area has a lot of hiking routes and is a great place if you want to get away a little bit. Highly recommend ☀️

It is a rare find, perhaps the best accommodation I’ve ever come across. The location is strategic in the centre of the Faroe islands. You can reach all parts easily. It is walking distance from a supermarket, and café and restaurant, while situated in a picturesque town. This a unique combination in the whole archipelagos. It is also in front of the sea with a private platform for swimming. The amenities were exceptional. From a coffee machine to bathrobe for swimming. Everything inside is brand new. It was just refurbished/ converted. The photos do not do justice for the beauty we encountered. The views from the living room are just stunning. We were the first to let the flat and coming from London to Faroe Islands for the first time we did not know what to expect. What an experience! Thank you Durita!

Niels’ apartment was absolutely beautiful. It is newly renovated with great taste and has everything we needed for a comfortable stay in the Faroe Islands. Niels was a fantastic host with excellent communication and a warm, accommodating approach that made us feel right at home. We would highly recommend this place and would love to return.

We are happy to have stayed in this house for a unique experience that made us jump through time and space. Arriving in the Faroe Islands was like being transported to another dimension, staying in Marianna's house helps to rediscover the charm of a forgotten time. A warm and enveloping environment where even the creaking of the floorboards makes you feel good. The house is in a beautiful and quiet location. Logistically in a strategic position to reach all the locations of the Faroe Islands. There is everything you need to feel good and to feel part of the fantastic world of these islands. Finally, a healthy and fair spirit of adaptation is necessary: access to the bathroom from a hatch is not entirely easy and the height of the bathroom ceiling is less than 1.75m. That said, I'm 1.80 tall, but I'd definitely go back...

We had a wonderful stay at this cosy and charming house, just a short 10-minute drive from the capital. The location is perfect to explore the Faroe Islands, and we loved feeling like locals in this quiet, residential area. The house is spacious for two, very comfortable, and beautifully decorated — we immediately felt at home. The view over the fjord is simply breathtaking, and the bed was super comfy. Bonus points for the rowing machine if you still got energy after all these fantastic hikings! Highly recommend this peaceful and homy spot for anyone visiting the islands.

We had the great pleasure to stay at Heini and his family’s home during Olai in July, and it suited perfect for us and our needs. Heini was very responsive and flexible with our stay, and were able to bring an extra baby nest so we could fit the whole family (6 adults and 5 children). The house was clean, spacious, really well-equipped and with a view of Tórshavn and Nólsoy to die for. We mostly walked downtown (downhill) and took the bus back, which stops just outside the house. All in all we had a great stay, and we truly recommend this place if you are a big family or group looking for a place to withdraw a bit from the city and relax with a great view - note that some of the beds are a bit smaller than queen size, but it works well if you have children along. I loved Maria's place, it has beautiful views, was clean and comfortable, and a great location. You are close to the airport and some lovely walks/hikes in the village along with a short drive to some really special sites. We didn't cook much but the kitchen is fully equipped. All the kitchen lights work, there are two separate switches (a review said they didn't work). The house was cozy and warm with plenty of room to spread out. The stairs to the loft bedrooms and to basement laundry/bedroom/2nd bathroom are steep so if this is a concern I would ask the host. It was not a problem for us but it could be for someone else. It is a charming small town overall, we loved the house and found Bjork easy to communicate with.

Solva was a great host! Place was absolutely perfect for us and we could walk to everything in town. Solva was very helpful with recommendations and tips for things to do. We got to see a B36 game and that was definitely a highlight. Thank you Solva for a great stay! would definitely come back here.

What a pleasant stay we had in Leirvík. Thorhild and Runi were welcoming and great hosts. It was a great place to explore Eysturoy and the surrounding islands and places to see. Highly recommend.

The place met everything we expected. The host is a good person. The village where this place is located in the center of the islands, so access to anywhere within an hour !!
