Beachfront holiday rental in Hubbards

From the moment we arrived at this charming cottage, we were blown away by the breathtaking view. It made every sunrise and sunset feel magical. The amenities were equally impressive. The cottage was clean, and beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed - from a fully stocked kitchen to linens and even games for a rainy day. The location was fantastic, as we were just minutes away from local grocery stores and a mix of eateries - perfect for grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a leisurely dinner. Plus, the area is packed with sightseeing adventures and historic landmarks to hidden gems we discovered along the way. This place felt like home away from home and we can’t wait to go back again!

We were in town with our 11 and 13 year old boys and this was the PERFECT spot for kids! The boys played basketball, went to the beach, did some kayaking, used the bikes & scooters. We also took advantage of the bonfire pit each night. This is a fantastic spot for families with plenty of activities to keep you busy both outdoors and indoors (tons of different games available to play). The only suggestion I have is that there be more pans to use. We had one small pan for the weekend which was challenging when cooking large meals for 4 people (we had to cook bacon, clean the pan, then cook sausages, clean the pan, then cook our eggs for example). Other than that TINY inconvenience this spot is well worth the money! Ethel was extremely responsive, friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home and will likely return!

Very cozy place! It was right by the water with a beautiful view. Very convenient as well. We were about a 30 minutes drive from Downtown Halifax. Ashley was very responsive and helpful. Beautiful place and amazing host! I'd stay there again. :)

This was the perfect rustic get-away! The kids had so much to do, and mom and dad had lots of space to relax. The diving dock was a hit (even in the cold) and kayaks were awesome! The boat washroom at the beach was such a nice touch and was super clean, the beach toys and kids toys in the cabin were great. I’m so thankful to have had an affordable place to unplug with my family- Thank you Keith and Sarah!!

What a beautiful place to spend a weekend very clean very organized and a deer waiting for us. when we pulled in the driveway. Our stay was lovely. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Thomas.

We had a wonderful stay at this property - 8 family members on a girls weekend! The house was beautiful, better than the pictures. The kitchen/living room/dining room space was ideal for games, cooking and lots of fun. Everything was so clean and ready to use. Kim was super responsive with any questions I had and everything was really smooth. I would stay here again! It's useful to note for prospective guests - there is a 1-bedroom guesthouse directly behind the main house which does lie between the house and the yard/view, so it didn't feel quite as private as I thought it would be. But - we were there on a rainy weekend, so our group and the guesthouse renters stayed inside all weekend and it was like they weren't even there! I would suggest if you are renting this space for outdoor space, it might not suit those needs. Overall a lovely place to stay and we had a fabulous weekend.

My best friend, pups and I had a wonderful time at the lakeside cottage. It was so cute and the surroundings were incredible!

Our Stay at the Fish Shack was pure magic. Loved every minute of it. From the idyllic, beautiful location, charming, authentic folk art that filled the property, comfortable bed, linens, furnishing, well stocked kitchen, lovely deck and setting, we couldn’t ask for a more enjoyable visit and host. Thank you for sharing this little piece of heaven with us. This stop after our long trip cross Canada road trip was just what we hoped for and exceeded our expectations 😁. Thank you for sharing Val!

Great newer, clean and spacious place with a serene and private waterfront. Great location just off the highway and 20 mins to downtown.

What a unique stay! Whitney clearly put a lot of thought into all the little touches. Loved all the fresh flowers around. I didn't have a chance to take the kayak out on the water, given that I only stayed one night and there was some rain. Next time perhaps! When I took my dog out for a walk, there was a scary moment when we interacted with the neighbor's dogs, but she's okay. Just something to keep in mind if you are traveling with a pup. Also, remember that there's no hot water, unless you want to heat some up on the stove.

This place is stunning! Within 5 minutes of arriving we knew this was going to be a great trip. Richie was very helpful and the arrival was smooth. The location is so picturesque; the view is amazing. The 3 beaches are completely private. The walk through the small path to the rocks was a great discovery and we spent time just sitting on the rocks enjoying the scenery. The house is beautiful and everything you could possibly need was provided. Even the towels were so soft and fluffy. The wood burning stove was a real treat on a chilly evening. The house is spotlessly clean and very well decorated. It’s a quiet area but not far from Peggy’s Cove or Halifax. Overall I can recommend this property enough. If Richie ever decides to sell I’ll be first in the queue. Overall a fantastic stay and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks Richie :)

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful and the interior of the cottage had everything we needed. We took advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks. The walk down to the dock was a bit challenging but well worth the effort. The firepit was perfect for the chilly evenings. The location made it easy to get to nearby attractions and cities. Lunenburg is only 1/2 hour away and Halifax is only an hour. There is easy access to the main highway 103 which is just a couple kilometers away. Denise was very welcoming and easy to work with. Thank you for allowing us to be your guests.

The days we spent in Gillian and Stephen's accommodation were wonderful. It is a really beautiful and very large accommodation and corresponds perfectly to the description on the internet. We would book this accommodation again in a heartbeat.

Erin and Mitch were great hosts. The place was easy to find, neat, and felt like home away from home. Every amenity was as described and the brochure they created gave us all the information we needed in case we had further questions. We loved Halifax and would definitely stay at their place again when we do visit. Thanks again Erin and Mitch!

Absolutely stunning place. Extremely responsive and kind host. Lots of dishes, cookware, appliances to use. Extremely comfortable beds. Three pristine bathrooms. Clean fridge. Stellar and stunning ocean views! Perfect all around

This house is extraordinary. The history, the decor, the comfort. The best stocked kitchen we have ever seen (plus an additional half kitchen). This may be minor, but they had lots of extras towels, face cloths and toilet paper. And the views - unbelievable! Alan's support as host was impeccable - as friendly and he was efficient. We will definitely return!

The house was amazing. Very remote and quiet. But only 30 minutes to busier locations with shopping, restaurants, etc. Within 10 minutes, RoseBay Bistro & Market and Dear Emma Pizza (incredible!) provide all you need otherwise. The beach is incredible. Sitting in the chairs at the edge of the beach, over the dunes, is the perfect spot for morning coffee or a happy hour cocktail! The house design is like a piece of art - the many levels and nooks make it a very unique experience. It is well furnished with all sorts of things you might want to enjoy your stay. Very thoughtful. We look forward to a return visit.

Raquel’s place, “Vista Del Mar,” is absolutely gorgeous!! The open concept of the main level allows for guests to dine and intermingle while enjoying the picturesque view of St. Margaret’s Bay. Raquel was quick to respond to messages and was a pleasure to talk to! A short scenic drive to Peggy’s Cove and Halifax. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone travelling to Nova Scotia. Gorgeous home in a beautiful location! My family and I loved our stay. The house was very clean, spacious, and well furnished. The view of the water from the deck (and throughout the home) is incredible. It was an added bonus that the home is stocked with fun toys for children. My toddler was in heaven! Simon and Megan are great hosts. They were very easy to communicate with, provided clear instructions, and gave great recommendations for things to do/places to visit in the area. I highly recommend this home and would love to come visit again!

Above and Beyond Booked this trip for a group of 7 guys in our early 30s, and it couldn’t have worked out better. Everyone had their own bed, and the space was the perfect size for us with all the facilities we needed. The views were stunning. I knew it was on the ocean, but wow - photos really don’t do it justice. While we were there, some of us spotted seals and even saw a whale — a pretty exciting wildlife moment. Not sure how common that is, but it was a highlight for us, being from out of province . Uber does reach the property, which made a night out in Halifax easy, though we also rented a car to get around — both options worked well. Huge thanks to the hosts. We’d love to come back
