I am an American who purchased this ancient home in the heart of the village Crezancy-en-Sancerre. There is a restaurant/bar and butcher in the village. Close proximity to Sancerre ( 10 minutes by car) Two wine domaine’s within walking distance for degustation. You have your own apartment space located in a grand old home from the 1800’s that was once a bar-hotel. You also have shared garden space to relax. This is a new listing for me here so continually trying to improve any guests stay.

It was wonderful to stay here for a few days. Beautiful house, quiet and for everyone a private room with bathroom and toilet. And very clean! From here we were able to explore the area very well. Floriane is really friendly and helpful. Despite the language barrier (I don't speak French and Floriane don't speak English very well), we always came out. Highly recommended to go!

We had a wonderful stay at Claude's. Her home is absolutely beautiful, with architecture full of charm and character. The setting is just as enchanting: the village of La Borne, famous for its sculptors and winemakers, nearby offers a unique and authentic atmosphere. My girlfriend and I Stayed one week in the Gîte de potier in the small village of La Borne in the Centre - Val de Loire region. An authentic and cute house in the middle of a forested area. Our Host Christine is a kind lady who loves to share her passion of pottery and talk about the rich history of La Borne over a cup of tea. In La Borne: a vast ammount of Potters exposing and selling their art, an incredible fine dining restaurant, Le Epicerie (get your reservation in a few weeks ahead of your stay), A tiny Pottery museum and interesting contempory pottery art museum, a cute garden filled with hidden nooks and crannies to hide away and have a cup of tea, glass of wine and delicious toasted sandwiches, La Belle Vert. Apart from these another restaurant and food truck we didn't manage to check ourselves. Around La Borne: Different vineyards, wine fields, small villages, cathedral of Jean Linard, Sancerre, swimming in the Loire river and more. Bring your own: Sheets, towels, laptop for internet (no wifi, but an internet access point and cable available) Perfect place for retreating from the city life for a bit and a must see for art and pottery enthousiasts. A lovely place to stay, the house had everything we needed. It was clean and cosy when we arrived and the fire kept us warm on the chill spring days. The garden was a lovely place to sit, when the sun came out, which it di, giving us a very hot week in April. Thank you for putting up the extra fence, so that our dogs could not go exploring outside. Walking in the area is wonderful, we enjoyed many walks with our 2 dogs, vineyard, forest and field and Vinon has a bar for a refreshing beer if you can set your walk to come home that way. Its a treasure of a place. Thank you for sharing.
