Shopping for everyday needs is located in the small town. Riesenbeck is centrally located between Münster and Osnabrück and is only about 10 minutes by car from the highway. Excursion destinations include Ibbenbüren but also Rheine, each 15 minutes by car, offering activities for young and old. Families with children are welcome.

Our apartment is located directly on the beautiful Buchholz, a part of the Teutoburg Forest, which invites you to jog or walk. In the immediate vicinity is the marina yacht harbor (approx. 2 km), the special forest outdoor pool Recke (2 km), the sauna "Schwefelbad Steinbeck." The destinations Tecklenburg, the "Tödden" hiking trail, the Teuto-Schleifen, the fairy tale forest with summer toboggan run, the squatting woman are also easily reached by car.

Historic Farm House in Countryside

This type of house is known as " ein Heuerhaus'. It was built in 1883 and is one of the few remaining such houses in the area. We renovated it in the late1980's and it is recognised as a National Monument. The area we converted into the appartment for our guests, was originally used for storing the hay and straw for the animals winter fodder The house is surrounded by a large garden and uninterrupted view of the countryside.

Our vacation home is nestled in the park landscape of the Münsterland in the immediate vicinity of the Dortmund-Ems Canal and at the foot of the Teutoburg Forest. Beautifully integrated into a half-timbered ensemble, our Hüsken offers direct access to its own garden with sitting area, fireplace, barbecue, parking space and covered accommodation for bicycles. Nestled in the idyll of the Aldruper Heide, you will find peace and quiet to unwind. Thanks to a well-developed network of bike paths, you can easily explore Münster (15 km) and the surrounding area.
