This is an inn near the old Nakasendo, where the good old townscape remains. I was working hard as an interior coordinator, and I wanted to recreate the rich and peaceful time I spent at my grandmother's house as a child, so I wanted to give my guests a relaxing time. The retro atmosphere unique to an old private house has been preserved, and the interior has been arranged to be easy to live in. Nearby, you can enjoy a stroll in the Kahara-machi area, where there are cafes and bakeries in renovated townhouses, and the Nagara River, famous for cormorant fishing (May-October). It is a charming area with lots of nature and fields. Experience the nostalgic life of real Japan, not a made-up Japan. You will be renting the entire building, so please spend a relaxing time with your family, partner, group, etc. The convenience store is about 4 minutes away by car, The supermarket is about an 8-minute drive away. This is a new guesthouse built in 2019, located 3 minutes' walk from Gifu Hashima Station. It offers a combination of Japanese and Western styles, with a 40 square meter private room or family room that has a stylish small attic with tatami mats and a modern atmosphere with sofas. The room is perfect for families with small children, couples, and groups. There is also a 100 inch projector in the rooms for watching movies on YouTube. Cozy, Clean, Convenient & quiet home in Gifu

I came to Gifu in 2018, I think it was it’s unpretentiousness that attracted me . The people here seem relaxed and easy going, hospitable and very much in love with their hometown which in the Gifu park area retains much of the (Kyoto like) feeling of traditional Japan with it’s castle and a host of well maintained shrines. I don't think many people have heard of Gifu, even Japanese people, inspite of the Great heritage sights like Shirakawago, beautiful mountains and clear water rivers!

"Moegi" is an old folk house lodging along the Nakasendo in Gifu. We renovated a 60-year-old, 150㎡ old private house to create a private lodging where you can relax. "Moegi" is the name of a traditional Japanese color. It was named to wish for a "good start'' and "child's growth.'' There is a playroom of approximately 32 m² for children. Don't worry if you can't go sightseeing due to rain. There are also many sightseeing spots in the area, making it an ideal base for sightseeing.
