Designed by the host, an architect who has won numerous awards overseas. Not extraordinary, but a "delicate life" with the theme of enriching everyday life. You can experience that kind of life here. There is a separate indoor bath from the Hinoki bath, but the view of Setouchi and the starry sky from the Goemon bath, heated with firewood, is the best. If you're lucky, you'll see artificial satellites and meteors. The water heated by firewood never gets cold. It warms you from the core of your body. The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. During the day, you might want to spend some time in the lounge filled with houseplants. Enjoy the sunlight shining through the trees from the skylight. Here, the right answer is to do nothing and just be. How about emptying your mind? If you request at least a week before your stay, we can prepare local food from Oshima Island and seasonal food that we can get through a special route. If you wish, you can also dine at a counter made of pure cedar, similar to a traditional Japanese restaurant.

Host was very nice, helped us get a cab at the end of our stay. This is an affordable stay, not a glamorous one, but the accommodation was fine. You are staying in the house with the host and I think another guest. Shower is downstairs. Room has a lock. Fridge in room, and room is bare bones but fine, with a little patio. 15 minute cab ride from downtown. It got the job done after a long, great day of biking.

Staying with Ms. Kaori is a wonderful experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The hostess is an incredibly nice, gentle, kind and caring person. I am very grateful to you for such a nice reception during my year-long trip to Japan. After 2 months in Tokyo, the beginning of the adventure in Shikoku turned out to be exciting and relaxing at the same time. I hope I can come back here. Olivier and family are very welcoming and kind. We loved the homemade brioche, jams and local fruit for breakfast, along with the interesting conversation. The home is actually better than in the pictures and very comfortable. We spend one night there whilst exploring the islands by bike.

Very nice traditional house with superb hosts. Like staying in a ryokan but without all the fuss and much better priced🤗. We had the place for ourselves, that was perfect. Sharing with other guests may lack some privacy. The hosts are super nice and make you feel welcome. Unfortunately there are no seats or table to relax in the wonderful garden. If you are in this region you should stay at this place.
