Holiday rentals with lake access in India

Amazing place, paradise for a nature lover. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be with nature for a few days.

We stayed for 8 nights here. Every day, we found something new to keep us involved. Kayaking, badminton, cycling, driving the scooty to ride the ferry, sitting on the beach for hours and watching the sunset. There are limited options for vegetarian food around but we found some good places. The host also suggested local places to visit, loaned us his personal scooty to ride around the town, and visited us to show us where everything is kept. It was hot, very hot, there but the place just calmed us down. You can walk on the grass barefoot or enjoy the swings or just watch the birds flying over the lake. The host is very helpful and makes you feel right at home.

We had a great time at Shangri-la. The house is beautifully done. It is exactly as described in the pictures. The host was there to receive us and get us settled. They stayed in a separate section with a separate access. They were always available for any kind of help. We had a great time chatting with them about the house and its surroundings. The pool is fantastic and its waterfall feature was quite fun. The food blew our minds over though! Sunanda tai cooked delicious meals one after the other till the point where we had to tell them to reduce the number of items! Our four dogs had a great time in the lawn and just chilling around. The hosts and the caretakers were very cool with our dogs, which is incredible. Overall, a great stay for a weekend. I will definitely recommend this to families with kids, seniors and pets. I stayed at Manoj and Santoshi's place for a night on my recent visit to Karwar. The place is tastefully done with enough space for two people in the bedroom, a fully functional kitchen and a living room. The kitchen had everything you would need - pans, cooking oils, tawa, pressure cooker etc. The space was very clean. You could lay down and relax on the hammock surrounded by coconut trees. My son loved watching the bathing buffaloes in the pond on the backside of the property. Now, the highlight of my stay was my interaction with Manoj's father, Mr Premanand. He was so kind and checked with us multiple times to see if we were ok or needed anything. He would personally help us carry our heavy luggage to the room and back. He stood with us in the sun to get us an auto rickshaw. Uncle cooked us some delicious meals. The fish thali was better than anything I've eaten in Karnataka . Absolutely loved my stay. If your are in Karwar please go and stay here.

one of the best places i have ever stayed. Neil and his father were really helpful in all matters. They gave us information about the local places to go to and responded to our requests fast. Overall would recommend to everyone for nice getaway from busy city to nice cozy stay.

We just wrapped up an unforgettable stay at this brand-new 3BHK villa—and it exceeded every expectation! Plush interiors, spacious ensuite bedrooms with verandahs, and a gleaming private pool (highly chlorinated—our feet got a free spa peel!). Sharvil was an exceptionally responsive and generous host, and Masud—our friendly caretaker—made the best poha in all of India, delighting our kids with his kindness. Booking taxis via GoaMiles was effortless, and Zomato drivers had no trouble finding us. This luxurious, serene escape is perfect for families or groups seeking comfort and convenience. We loved every moment and can’t wait to return!

It was a great stay at Haridwar. Jagrit was a very friendly host. He allowed us to check in even though we were late to the Homestay. It is very much accessible and close to the Railway station as well. Do check out this stay if you are thinking to go to Haridwar.

Our stay at Nitish's place was wonderful. The apartment was cozy, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a truly comfortable stay. One of the highlights was its location—tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Thane, yet right in the heart of a posh neighborhood. Everything we needed was within walking distance, including great restaurants and bars. The society itself was serene and clean, offering peaceful walks and a sense of calm. Overall, it was a very pleasant and satisfying experience.

We had a pleasant stay at the Red Bari. The staff were helpful and courteous, the breakfast at the cafe was excellent and the location was truly convenient. This is a great place to stay if you like to experience the local charm of Kolkata.

The stay was amazing and the host and his wife was very helpful to us , it was super clean view was pretty amazing you can just spent hours while sitting at the corner . The barbecue grill adds a spark to your late evening celebration. It’s little away from the main city but it’s very safe! If you need any help hosts are available 24*7 . Don’t rethink book it 🌼

What an incredible stay! The property is absolutely stunning—a true hidden gem near Bhimtal. A heartfelt shoutout to the wonderful caretaker, Rama didi, who went above and beyond to assist us—even answering our call for help at midnight. Had a wonderful stay with family. Great location and very near to lake and enjoyed walking around the lake. Caretaker was really helpful and prepared delicious homely food. It has good car parking space and scenic lawn. Would like to stay here again.

Property was great. A place that is so beautiful and beyond your expectations in the overall setup and unexpected natural beauty, yet so close to Pune. Great caretakers and awesome home cooked food. The best place you can spend with your close ones or family in the garb of the beautiful nature that is so well maintained by the host, that you'll forget all your worries and have the most peaceful time of your lives.

This was one of my favorite Airbnbs I’ve stayed in honestly! We were welcomed with fresh mango juice. It was so peaceful and relaxing, we didn’t have to worry about anything. We were surprised how there werent any mosquitoes. We communicated with Jacob and he helped us find activities and cab service to take us there and we ended up hiring the driver for our whole trip and that was great! We also had so many questions and the hosts were very kind, patient and responsive in helping us. Sumesh the caretaker was very nice and helped arrange our kayaks and sunrise boat ride even kindly giving us a wake-up call for the boat. Geetha the cook cooked the best food we had in the trip and catered it to our taste as well. We had dinner at an additional cost cooked by her and breakfast was included and we had a very peaceful delicious Kearla breakfast. The area is pretty remote but we had everything we needed there, the property was very big with so many plants and an amazing view!
