The place was stunning

Nice cottage in a nice location! You can spend the whole day by the large landscape window watching swans, common mergansers and boats arriving at the harbor. With the youngest children, we had to be careful with some of the furniture and the stairs leading upstairs, but the toys and the soft sofa upstairs were favorites. The eco-toilet was a bit of a mess inside, which was surprising, but in general a really neat and special place.

Good cabin, with all the necessities to enjoy a staycation in somia. Anglers would benefit from electricity on the dock and a good place to clean fish! Thank you, we had a great stay.

Samuli was so kind and helpful! The location, set atop a rocky, lichen-covered hill, gave the impression of being on a deserted island - very remote and wild feeling. The wood-fired sauna (included with rental) was absolutely amazing. Such a great traditional experience!! There's a second stove to heat hot water and wash (though you can also take a hot shower in the bathroom up the hill) and you're just a few steps from the water to take a cold plunge. The only thing to note is that the bathroom is about 50 meters down a granite slab of rock - it's not far, but it was difficult for my 70+yo parents to walk there, especially at night. Two of the other cabins are much closer to the bathroom, so if you have someone who isn't super steady on their feet I would recommend one of those instead. Otherwise we had a great stay and are so grateful to Samuli for hosting us!
