Climb the many mountains in the area, some within walking distance of our front door or explore the local walks. Visit the grave of Rob Roy MacGregor or curl up infront of our woodburning stove with some hot cocoa and a good book.

'The Howff' is a refurbished farm worker's bothy in a rural location with lots of walks and access to beautiful parts of Perthshire. One hour's drive from Edinburgh, 20 mins Dundee or Perth. This authentic bothy contains one room with single bed, wood burning stove, mini kitchen unit with fridge, oven, portable hob and kettle, separate shower room, wc, basin. Linen and towels included. Although small, The Howff is warm and cosy and makes a perfect retreat. Please note for ONE only.

Extremely warm and cosy hut with double glazing and log burning stove. Situated in the heart of a forest, on a hill with views down to Loch Voil. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, writers, artists....anyone looking for peace and quiet and instant access to the great outdoors. To reach the cabin you will need to drive for 3 miles on a forestry track. It is rough and has plenty of potholes so is not for the unadventurous or for those with low slung sports cars. A 4x4 is not necessary.

We provide coffee, tea, sugar & milk pots. We are walking distance to Tarbet pier, Kirk O The Loch,Tarbet hotel & bus stop & train station. I like to give guests privacy & it’s self check in and out. Welcome to our Cabin on the Loch. Our custom built cabin on stilts over the pristine Loch Venachar. Situated in the heart of the Trossachs, not far from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. It is a totally private secret escape. This is truly a place to relax and to get away from it all. Just sit on the deck, or take a stroll along the banks of the Loch. The cabin sleeps 2 people and is totally private. A wonderful location for fishing, walking and cycling, (or just chilling).

Log Cabin in Strathyre available on a weekly basis. 4 Berth A-Frame Swiss Style Log Cabin in the National Park (1 double and second bedroom with 2 singles). Wood Burning Stove. Full fire and CO alarms. Charming Village with Post Office, shop and Pub all within 3 minutes walk. Wonderful forest walks and fishing river literally 10 yards from the Cabin. One dog welcome, smokers not. Fast Fibre WiFi but poor mobile connections within the cabin however OK in the village.
