From the nearest interchange, it's less than a 5-minute drive, but we recommend taking the local roads while enjoying views of the mountain-ringed Gokayama. Even if you don't have a car, you can get off at Shin-Takaoka Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, take the World Heritage Bus, and get off at the nearest bus stop while enjoying the mountain views from the window.
