Holiday houses in Isla Violín

One of the last remaining paradise like places.... it is really hard to leave this dream. Hour long hikes through the jungle, monkeys, arras, tapirs and the puma are close by. Long, beautiful beaches with no one but the sunset in sight. Complete darkness and milky-way over sparkling plankton Susan and Carlos welcomed me into their oasis with open arms and open hearts. They are hard working, loving people taking really huge care of their guests and staying with them was like coming home. Cuddled into the jungle mountain my bungalow was a place for rest and reset. I enjoyed the peace and quiet with no cars or motorbikes and just 5 minutes to the beach so much that i extended my stay from three days to two weeks. there is a restaurant conveniently placed at the bottom of the hill - enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast, lunch (get the boxed lunch for the beach) or dinner. A bar is also part of the families complex where at night you can enjoy a drink with some locals or the other guests.

Ein wunderschöner, naturnaher Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig mit privatem Strand – perfekt zum Entspannen und Natur erleben. Wir haben viele Papageien gesehen und ein nahegelegenes, unscheinbares Restaurant bietet überraschend gutes Essen. Ein 4×4 Geländewagen ist für die ca. 40-minütige Schotterstraße zur Unterkunft absolut notwendig. Die Unterkunft ist einfach, aber sauber, hat alles Wichtige (kaltes Wasser, Ventilator, Strom bis ca. 22 Uhr). Es gibt keine Fenster, dafür aber überall Fliegengitter und Gardinen – also gut geschützt. Nachts kann es im Zimmer warm werden. Aaron, der Manager der Unterkunft, war sehr freundlich, jederzeit erreichbar und hat uns eine romantische Sunset Kanutour organisiert. Frühstück war lecker und wurde bei Bedarf auch sehr früh serviert, z. B. vor unserer Corcovado-Tour. Ideal für Naturliebhaber! Wer hohen Komfort erwartet, sollte sich auf das Abenteuer einstellen oder nur 1–2 Nächte bleiben. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter!

We had an awesome adventure at Casa Roja, it was a beautiful house in an amazing location. We spotted monkeys from the living room most days, we were visited by the Macaws several times during our stay, and the tours of Corcovado & Canos were spectacular. Graciela and staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and the prepared meals were delicious. It was obvious that our happiness and comfort was their priority. I would highly recommend Casa Roja for a Costa Rican retreat, just be prepared for the heat. Without a steady breeze or airflow via fans, the heat can be brutal for northerners like us.

Great stay! Amanda met us upon arrival and was very friendly and showed us around. AC worked great and bathroom was clean with clean towels. Looks just like the pictures, with wildlife surrounding the whole property, and some walking trails. It was a beautiful spot and a truly unique stay. Thank you for having us Amanda!

Super schöne Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage. Entspricht den Fotos und der Beschreibung. Rebeca war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und auch die beiden Hunde waren extrem freundlich und haben uns morgens immer nett begrüßt. Vanillia (einer der beiden Hunde) hat uns abends sogar mit zum Strand begleitet und uns alles gezeigt 😅. Wir haben uns gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt. :) 500m entfernt ist ein wunderschöner Strand, den wir ganz für uns alleine hatten. Leider sind die Wellen dort sehr hoch. Es gibt in der Umgebung aber noch schönere Alternativen zum Baden. Wirklich atemberaubende Umgebung! Die Beschreibung ist etwas irreführend, weil man sich nicht im Dschungel befindet, sondern eher auf einem kleinen Bauernhof. Man muss sich allerdings bewusst sein, dass die Wohnung zu 2 Seiten hin komplett offen und nur mit Moskitonetzen geschützt ist. Dies ist tagsüber wunderschön, aber abends wenn die Insekten kommen, muss alles zu sein und selbst dann schafft es die ein oder andere Mücke ins Haus.

Isabel's villa overlooking the rainforest was absolutely amazing. Amazing views over the lush rainforest valley while relaxing on the terrace or taking a shower was truly a unique experience. The house is very large and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Waking up to parrots and tucans sitting in the trees next to the house is the best way to start the day in Costa Rica. Isabel is always available and provided great recommendations including a little hike to the property's own little waterfall. Lots of beautiful beaches and close to Corcovado National Park it was the perfect accommodation for us. 100% recommended!

Sabrina & Edu couldn’t have been better hosts! Their “end of the world” paradise is quiet & peaceful. Their home cooked meals were delicious & plentiful. The bungalows had thick netting so we could feel the cool night air as we slept. It was fabulous to wake up to all of the birdsongs every morning, They made a special effort to show us birds & animals. We really enjoyed the use of their boat to explore the River where their diverse ecosystem shines in the jungle. We also liked taking the boat on the lagoon to the beach. If you want a quiet and peaceful getaway, this is the place. However, Sabrina is happy to help you with any tours (and there are quite a few to choose from). We will always treasure our time here. :)
