Cave holiday rentals in Italy

Fantastic accommodation. Rita is super warm and even allowed us to check in earlier. If you had any questions, she was always available and had valuable tips for excursions and restaurants in the area. The accommodation and the private pool are exactly as shown in the photos. Everything was super clean. We felt very comfortable from the beginning and would come back at any time. Thank you for everything. 😊

La Grotta was the perfect location to celebrate our anniversary. It was quiet, romantic, and beautiful. It is close to Verona so, if you choose, you can go into the city. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return.

Could use a long list of words to describe the location and Matera. Stunning is the right one. Location is breathtaking. You feel like you are simply part of the stones.

Giovanni was a perfect host. He was very flexible with our arrival time since we were not sure exactly when we would get there. He was very welcoming of us to his families home since the 1400s! He and his assistant took great care of us intelling us about the caves but also in giving us directions to local sites and restaurants. We only wish that we could’ve spoken in Italian so that we could’ve had a conversation with Giovanni. He was just delightful. Thank you. I highly recommend this experience.

We had a lovely experience staying in this traditional house in Ostuni. It’s very interesting felt like we were in a fairytale house. Great location in town. Thelma was a very kind and helpful host.

Great location and views

As soon as we walked in my daughter said to me… “I’m gonna get married here one day” and another guest described it as … “A little paradise ” - Massimiliano’s place it’s breathtaking!!!- pictures doesn’t capture the wonderful sunrises or the sounds of nature every morning. This place it’s certainly 10 out of 10, ideal for families, couples or solo traveler. It has a private entrance, spacious parking, common kitchen where food it’s shared, perfect communication with host and can’t forget the pillow sachet on every bed, which is very thoughtful.

We had a great time staying at Stefanias place. It was easy to find following the instructions the host sent ahead of time, the Check-in was fast and smooth. The apartment was equipped as expected and through the smart and stylish layout felt somehow roomier than expected. The location for the apartment is super central too. Stefania was also very responsive, helpful and friendly in her communication.

Beautifully located in the old center of Ostuni. The location itself remained nice and cool because it is in a cave. Camilla responds very quickly and also had nice tips for restaurants. We enjoyed 2 nights, recommended!

It was a little gem in beautiful Scicli! Away from the centre, in a secluded little street where cars were not allowed. Beautiful scenery in front of us, peaceful and only 10 minutes walking from everything. The house was clean and very sweetly decorated. Chiara was a great host, answered to every question very quickly and gave us some useful information.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful holiday house and felt right at home in Puglia - very welcoming hosts who were very helpful with all our needs. We would love to come back again soon!

Everything went well. The cave house is awesome. Our arrival was a complicated one because we hadn't read the information to get to the house. But thankfully our host was very patient. Once again, thank you for everything.

Thank you so much to Giusy for his kindness and hospitality in making our stay in Modica a success. The appeal of this place was above all its unconventional appearance. Indeed, having never lived in a cave, what a better opportunity. For this point, we must admit the impressive side of this accommodation with its hammock directly installed in the heart of this cave. I think this place can only attract people like us who love the adventure of an extraordinary experience. Apart from this feature, the traditional part is well appointed, with a very functional open kitchen, with an oven, and a four-burner gas hob, which is not insignificant especially if you like to cook. There's also a thoughtful pellet heating system. The upper floor built on the mezzanine is very spacious and minimalist with stunning views of the cave as well as a romantic breakthrough on the top of Modica.

Excellent Sassi rental. Husband and I rented it for the night - and it really was magical. Flexible check in, located right off the main strip, with an easy walk to all major sites and restaurants. Romantic, quaint and perfectly matched the city’s charm and vibe. Highly recommend - and recommend at least two nights to get the full experience.

Elisa’s place was fab! She was very responsive on messages and even helped us arrange a taxi with one of the local taxi providers. We were left with a bottle of wine, however unfortunately we didn’t drink due to being out of the apartment mainly at a wedding. The place is stunning and literally a stones throw from the main Panicale square. Would definitely recommend

Stefania’s apartment far exceeded our expectations. Gorgeous view, very conveniently located (easy cable car to the beach and a very close walk to the city center), beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. Plus the rocks and traditional style of building were charming and impressive. The beds were very comfortable (which seems to be a rare commodity while traveling in Italy) and the kitchen was well stocked to prepare meals, plus there were many attractive serving dishes - everything you need to enjoy a home cooked meal on the terrace! Stefania was friendly, easy going and responded quickly and enthusiastically to all of our questions and requests. I couldn’t recommend this home more ❤️

THE BEST! My first view out the small terrace was possibly the most beautiful I will ever see: a large mountainside of fields, olive and grape vineyards, quaint homes and large monasteries, winding roads and long high speed passenger trains! Inside, the design and materials of this home cannot be beat: a beautiful combination of 3000 year old history stocked full of modern comforts! Open the doors and windows and feel the breeze waft through smelling of honeysuckle and jasmine. Giovanni’s Castle on the Rock is just amazing. We especially were interested in the Orvieto tuff caves dug by the Bronze Age Etruscans. Beneath our feet were two floors of these caves, beautifully finished and lit with marble and tile floors and steps. Nearby were two more remarkable systems of caves: Il Labirinto and Della La Cava. The latter is less than a block away. Both are far better than the Orvieto Underground! Treat yourselves to this delightful discovery! It’s the perfect rest stop in a medieval city!

Looks exactly like the photos. Comfy bed and hot shower. Great location for exploring the town. Paolo was an attentive host who was happy to accommodate a late check out.

How does one describe perfection? Let’s start with WOW WOW WOW! This is the most amazing place we’ve ever stayed. Think of a cave then think of 5 star luxury. They have thought of everything and with immense taste. Minutes from the centre of beautiful Modica, this is the perfect place to relax, pamper yourself and explore the amazing sights and history and offering a great range of restaurants and bars. The hosts could not have been more charming and helpful. This is a perfect bnb. Grazie!

We are so very grateful that we found Angela's place. It was a last minute booking for us and we didn't have very high expectations. If we would have had though, the high expectations would have been met!! We stayed in the loft apartment and it was very clean, very practical furnished and very quiet and peaceful. There was everything you needed. The pool was cold but I love that since it was hot summer when we visited. Sun all day on the sun chairs!! Her two dogs were lovely. Angela as a host is the best host I've ever had during all my airbnb stays. Very attentive, easy communication, super friendly and really helpful. I would most definitely come back to casa pistacchio. The house is located at the bottom of the city (its a steep and cool city!), and the accommodation provided parking. Grazie mille Angela 🫶

We fell in love with Maiori and this Airbnb! Beautiful and breathtaking views. Large outdoor space with pool/hot tub/dining area/sitting areas. The main interior is smaller than expected but bedrooms were large. The outdoor space makes up for this!!! Host is very responsive and friendly and gave lots of recommendations esp the private chef Davide we hired our last night. So nice and food was delicious! We ate Al fresco overlooking the coast ❤️! Housekeeper Maria is also so sweet, nice, friendly and helpful. A few things to note: there’s many stairs to climb up/down to the house. But that’s Amalfi coast for you! Don’t fret, there’s a pulley system to bring your suitcases up/down and Antonio helped with this. You can walk to town but tight roads with cars. Doable but we hired Taxi (Filippo) all week! We ate at Nettuno which was yum and Sal de Riso in Minori (the bakery OMG!). Took Ferry to Positano, Amalfi and Capri from Maiori dock! Eat at Agriturismo Villa Maria. FANTASTIC!!!!

This was our second time staying here and it never disappoints! The Accommodations, the wonderful staff and the beautiful grounds will keep us returning any time we are on the Amalfi Coast.

Calcata alone is worth the trip. Christian's spa is an oasis of relaxation. We spent our honeymoon there and were incredibly surprised, despite the photos, how beautiful this accommodation is. We highly recommend.

Upon entering the accommodation, we received a very warm welcome in a very relaxing environment! Host's son helped us with lifting our luggage to the cottage. Wonderful apartment, a fantastic terrace with a great view of the mountains! Sun from morning to evening. Nice address given to a local restaurant in the village. This was also a golden tip in terms of coziness, atmosphere and their delicious dishes! Thank you Maria Elana we will be back!!!
