Oh my where to start!! Do not stay anywhere else besides here!! Dixie is an all star host! Extremely accommodating, makes the most delicious cookies, has the most beautiful, relaxing home, a beautiful pond that’s fully stocked of fish, has an adorable doggy named huckleberry that gets the zoomies, she was so fast at answering questions, asking what we needed, and even brought down a fire pit & the sticks for the kiddos to make s’mores, my friends from Florida & Indiana said they will 100% be booking again! Thank you so much Dixie for making our first meet up an outstanding one!! 🫶🏼 I might even just book to stay here for a night away from my own house even tho I live in town, it’s that good!!! So don’t waste time book here!!!

Mark is a great host. He returns messages quickly and is helpful with questions. The loft is beautiful. It’s huge. Mark keeps it stocked with basic items in the fridge, shower and kitchen. Everything is in good condition. The waterfall is 3 minutes away from door to creek, just as he said. I highly recommend opening your windows at night so you can fall asleep to the waterfall (Mark’s suggestion). We will definitely be back. We will definitely

This is the second time we have stayed at this place and it is the best place in town. We slept very well during the evening and enjoyed the amazing views during the day. Location is ideal and the parking garage guaranteed downtown parking in cape. Definitely recommend.

This is a cool, kind of funky, place to stay. It's right on street level and feels like it used to be a nail salon or hairdresser or some such. It's spacious and comfortable and right in the midst of the downtown area, a short walk - like, as close as next door and up to a few blocks - to bars and restaurants. We parked on the street, but there is parking in the garage available as well. One thing people might want to know is that because the apartment is on street level and the street side is all glass, it is kind of easy to see through. Privacy screens are provided to block the view, and we felt comfortable, but it is possible some might find it a bit off-putting. We would definitely rent again if we are in the area!

We absolutely loved staying here!! Very clean and quiet, peaceful and beautiful!! Everything we needed was at the place and everything was super cute and very clean. I really appreciated Tammy’s little binder of instructions and recommendations for places to go and enjoyed the coffee bar. They really thought of everything!! Pictures looked like the stairs were outside, but I was pleasantly surprised to see they are indoors. I will say for future guests, GPS (we use the Waze app) lead us to a completely different private address. We passed the street the place was on so I easily knew where to go, just don’t trust GPS! Street sign is very visible thankfully and be prepared for gravel roads and a fun backwoods experience with gorgeous scenery. We loved it, so breathtaking, secluded and just what we needed! Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Whirlwind Farm was beyond our expectations. Dixie was very responsive and made sure every detail was satisfactory for us. We highly recommend staying here when you are in the DuQuoin area.

Indoor pool was great! Travel size shampoo and conditioner were provided in all bathrooms, as well as plenty of towels. Nice house right on the lake!

Beautiful and clean home! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the back deck with a gorgeous lake view.

The property was in a great location! The area is beautiful and peaceful! We loved the outdoor seating, lighting, and landscaping. The no wake zone made for safe and relaxing kayaking. We would definitely stay again!

I love the location and I felt right at home.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful weekend celebrating his birthday at Amy’s place! It was so cute and cozy and she made us feel right at home. Everything, including the dock and kayaks were super accessible. It was perfectly clean and welcoming and I would 100% recommend to anyone wanting a classic Midwest getaway!

excellent Little getaway cabin. very private and secluded. two very nice ponds very close for fishing. tried fishing for about an hour and caught and released 5 nice Bass. I would definitely say again this time I'm in the area. I was just out of town for work but felt like vacation after work in the evening. thank you for the great spot.
