House holiday rentals in Jackson County

Well, my husband and I have stayed there on and off for the last six months for local work, so we know the place well. Sadly, our project has come to an end, so our most recent stay will be our last for work. BUT, we love everything about Todd and Barbie and the house, and we will be back for fun hiking weekends. Hiking, waterfalls, everything nearby. It's the best place we've stayed in the area. Private, squeaky clean, big deck, large dining room table for big meals or spreading out the paperwork, GREAT internet connection and TV options. We'll definitely be back on our own - we feel so comfortable there in every way. I could not recommend any higher - would give it a "10" if I could. Todd and Barbie also bent over backwards to help us with a couple of last-minute schedule changes. Such honest and thoughtful hosts. Thanks Todd and Barbie for EVERYTHING over the last few months. We love you guys!

My family loved our stay at Wilstone! The home is lovely and pristine, with a warm and inviting family lodge feel. And the view is amazing! My teenage children enjoyed the downstairs rooms with private bathrooms and we all had fun playing pool. It was a fantastic set up for us! We’ve already agreed we want to go back!

Our stay in Sapphire was incredible, all because of the home and the homeowners' attention to detail! The house was not only beautifully situated on the Horseshoe River but was one of the most well-stocked homes we've ever rented. The house in Sapphire provided beautiful views, access to stunning hikes and local towns to tour. We brought our fly rods and spent may days hiking up and down the stairs, and there are a lot, but it is entirely worth the walk down and climb up, to spend time on the deck ideally situated on the river, allowing access to wade in and enjoy the water or fish. Additionally, the homeowners created a comprehensive reference book containing detailed information on hikes, waterfalls, national forest recommendations, and much more. We could not have picked a better home to spend the week! Thank you Zeb and Tara!

Clint and Hannah were a joy to have as hosts! The welcome sign was a great surprise for our daughter. This house was pretty well stocked,cleanly and cozy. The amenities were loved, especially the birthday girl and siblings! This house will now hold extra joy, love and laughter . We highly suggest this rental and will be personally renting in the future.

It was one of the best vacations I've ever had, a beautiful and complete house, a wonderful and peaceful place, lush landscapes, beautiful waterfalls, I want to go back to the same place in the summer to be able to enjoy the lakes better. I recommend it to everyone.

This is such an amazing place and yes it is real! Incredible views and wonderful stunning home in the mountains. It really was a memory I'll have forever. Matt was so awesome, he helped us get settled in and the amenities were so awesome🙏. Stay here and prepare to be pampered all the way up in the mountains! ❤️

Absolutely beautiful house with an extraordinary view of the mountains! House was very well kept, and plenty of room to spread out in the place. Comfy couches and blankets upstairs and down that allowed our family to relax together after our hiking! The windows in the house allow a lot of natural sunlight and provide breath taking views even from within. David was very helpful getting us to his place and providing clear instructions of how to get in and of what he expects. We loved every minute of our stay! Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay We did not want to leave , we were truly sad when Sunday checkout came! The rushing creek was so soothing through all hours, we ordered out often just to stay on the porch and sip our drinks and enjoy. Coffee on the back porch in the morning , hot tub at night , the bed was so comfortable , we slept in every day just because we could . It was a truly magical weekend. Thank you Nate, we want to come back again ! We loved it ! 😎🤘❤️

amazing place! I got sick the next day, but the view and peacefulness of the place was so healing and relaxing that I was ready to travel home in just a few days. hate I had to cut stay short but medically necessary. I will be back to Nathan's place one day so that I can truly enjoy and experience the area. if you love peace and solitude, this is the place for you!!!!!

Great house! Was good location as a home base for exploring the surrounding areas and hiking.

♥"What a great find!" - what my wife said as soon as we arrived!♥ Mike and Amber didn't forget anything in renovating this wonderful, peaceful home! Minutes away from Franklin; short drives to Highlands, Dillsboro, etc. Hiking, waterfalls, good shopping and dining - or simply seclusion and relaxation if that's what you're looking for! From the outdoor shower to the peaceful rear deck to comfortable king bed and great kitchen and other amenities, this was the perfect getaway in a wonderfully bucolic setting that we and our rescue golden retriever, Buddy, enjoyed immensely! How impressed were we? - well, we've already started planning our return visit!☺

Very peaceful and remote. Beautiful views too! WiFi worked for phones but not on smart tv and it is a hard place to locate but she had great instructions on locating it. It is remote for sure! Great place to relax and get away!

We enjoyed our stay at Whisper of Himalaya. We were in town for our child to attend orientation at WCU. With a packed agenda, we weren’t looking to spend top dollar for mountaintop views or luxury accommodations—we just wanted something safe, nice, and centrally located. That’s exactly what we found here. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We were basically right in the middle between the WCU campus and downtown Sylva, with Walmart just down the road in case we needed any last-minute items for our child to settle in on campus. If that sounds like what you're looking for, look no further.

We absolutely loved our stay here!! The place was so beautiful and was in the most amazing surroundings. 😍 I felt right at home, the style is complete perfection. Katelyn and Adam were super responsive and helpful, and even let us check in early! Super sweet, accommodating hosts. I would say my only complaint is that we had to leave! 😭 We're already planning our next trip back and think this will be our go-to vacation spot for years to come! ♥️

This house is perfectly located to many fun things to do in the mountains. The views from the front porch is out of this world. House was very comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hammock late at night. The host was very responsive to any questions that we had. The decor of the home feels very warm and welcoming. Would highly recommend staying here and look forward to staying here again.

The Lazy Bear Cabin is the perfect getaway! Peace and quiet with a gorgeous view. The history of the 1850’s cabin makes for that “home” away from home feel with extended comfort and amenities. Thanks again Sean! Tommy and Amanda K.

My family loved our stay on the river. Enjoyed tubing every afternoon. Hosts have thought of everything you might need for your stay plus extras. Photos can’t completely capture what a great find this place is. We would like to come back and stay again next year.

My husband & I very much enjoyed our stay at this Highlands mountain home. It was clean, comfortable, and watching the long-range mountain view sunset was the perfect way to end a day of hiking and exploration. The kitchen was well stocked, internet fast and dependable, and the living room a nice place to enjoy a movie or watch the clouds move across the mountains. The location was convenient to the entire Franklin, Highlands, Cashiers area which in the spring is a playground of wildflowers and waterfalls. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants to visit and the locals were all friendly. Thank you, Rudy & Adrienne, for sharing your lovely mountain home with us. We hope to return in the not-too-distant future!

We loved staying at Blake's house in Glenville NC. Wonderful area, beautiful house, gorgeous view! It had everything we needed to enjoy family time in the mountains.
