Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Jaibalito

This is by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. I’ve traveled to a lot of Airbnb’s in many different countries and none compare to this. Finding this place is surely an adventure but once you are there, you don’t want to leave! I can’t say enough good things about the chefs that will cook you every meal. We had them do all the shopping for our meals along with other items we wanted such as water and beer. The housekeeper services that help coordinate private boat rides to other villages, keeping the place clean, or even small things such as turning on the hot tub while we are away are truly incredible perks of this place. The property and views are just amazing and I can’t wait to come back here for my next stay!

This Airbnb is what Airbnb was supposed to be 10 years ago. It’s not just another property from a manager that you never see. Jean was very warm welcoming and welcomed us herself on our arrival. She was very proactive by giving us some tips from what to do, where to go or eat. She answered really quickly and helped us organized some massage sessions. The property is as described. The heated pool, the private beach and dock. Be aware that there are a lot of steps in the property and that arriving there from San Marcos may be a little difficult because of the road. But in my opinion those aren’t a problem after you see how beautiful it is there. I hope I can return one day

We really liked Mary's place! the accommodation and the price are too good, and Mary was always very friendly, she showed up to welcome us and explain important things (house things, recommendations). Personally I thought that contact was nice. Cleaning 10/10, amenities 10/10, space 10/10. Everything was excellent. A place that is sure worth it and we look forward to returning soon.

Casa Blanca was absolutely stunning! The views were great, the house was pristine, and the staff were incredible. There was always someone there to help and they were always ready to respond to our messages and help. We can’t speak more highly of our time there. They gave us great recommendations, and helped us arrange rides to and from our dock.

Casa Antonio is beautiful 🤩 The views are stunning, and it’s just like the pictures, and even bigger. Beautiful touches of fresh flowers, and one of the best stocked kitchens I’ve seen in an air bnb. There are lots of little tienditas within walking distance and it is only a 10 minute walk into town (taking the stairs). It’s about 15 minutes to get back, but it is a work out! Which I enjoyed! Although, the tuk tuks are easy to find to take you up. I spent all my time in the outdoor area, enjoying the views, nature, and watching the rain come in. I work remotely and had no issues with the internet asides from one power outage that was valley wide and out of anyone’s hands. Loved the place so much I extended my stay. Check in instructions were very clear and communication was great. As other people mentioned, you do hear the neighbors, but it did not bother me! Listening to the rain sounds whilst sleeping drowns it out. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We would be more than happy to return. The garden is beautiful and very private. The host was very prompt with a question we had about wood for the sauna. In the evening, the lighting in the main room was low. Making it slightly difficult to read a book. The sheets on the bed were fantastic. Nice thick, crisp sheets.

What a great place... the views, the lake, and the greenery all around. This Airbnb is slightly off the main road but very walkable with a cool little shortcut down by the lake that gets you access to the heart of San Marcos in no time. Augustus and his partner were the best hosts I've ever encountered on Airbnb. They left a present of homemade kombucha (using harvested fruits form the garden) in the fridge, offered to light up the sauna, and allowed us to use their paddleboards during our stay. He gave us personal recommendations for food, drinks, and numbers to cab which made our stay 1000 times easier. This stay may not be for the less active/ luxury seeking travelers, but it's the perfect spot for anyone who wants to relax, take in some nature, and get in touch with some locals and the outdoors. Thank you Augustus for all of your generosity and the perfect chance to unwind and enjoy what Guatemala has to offer. 🙏🏻

Little paradise in Santa Cruz, the garden is just something else - it is so magic to wake up every morning with plenty of hummingbirds flying around. The house has everything you need and a lot of privacy, even when Andres (the gardener) is around. Joanne instructions were super helpful and we felt at home, would definitely come back!!

It's even more beautiful than the pictures and I would come back a thousand times!! Pros: You can see the sunrise from the balcony and be surrounded by lots of nature throughout the stay. The landscapes are beautiful!! The restaurant food is rich. Direct access to the lake. Public motorboats always pass so you can easily mobilize. Cons: You can run into large spiders and scorpions so be mentally prepared. You have to go up several stairs to get to the room.

This was such a beautiful apartment in the perfect location! Kenny and Israel were very kind and helpful, and were very flexible with check in.

my first time visiting for my birthday and Kenny made it so easy for me to enjoy. He was very communicative & was kind enough to walk us to our room while carrying my luggage also (so sweet). The place was very clean and as described but the pictures didn’t do it justice of our view ! Such a relaxing & beautiful place. I am already planning my trip back :)

Larissa’s place was beautiful! It was wonderful to wake up to such a wonderful view and sip coffee on the patio, watching the lake wake up. Larissa also had a wonderful guidebook with great recommendations! We felt very prepared going into the trip due to this guidebook. Highly recommend!!

I felt immediately at home in Tzanabaj! Nico and Venus are great hosts and I loved my studio! right by the lake, peaceful, while also close to the city center (10 min tuk tuk), where the restaurants and supermarkets can be found. There is also a beautiful community living in the other houses, so you can have your privacy and socialise with other like-minded people if you want. Totally recommend!

Marco and his helper, Margareta or Magdelana (?), were very prompt, helpful and easy to reach. All we needed was to check-in and then check-out at the end but all went well. The apartment was clean and tidy and convenient to Santander Street and with an inexpensive tuk-tuk ride anywhere in town.

Alejandro's place was great! We loved the 360 view and the outdoor shower. It was great seeing the sunrise from the balcony every morning! Host is very responsive and helpful as well. Something to note - the neighborhood has a lot of roosters crowing all night, and because the metal roof is not completely closed, it might be hard for some people to get a good night's sleep. By no means is this the place's fault though, but just to be aware if you're a light sleeper! Everything else was awesome, very clean and good amenities! Drinking water in the kitchen, warm showers, good working faucet, a desk to work at, a bench on the balcony! Power outlets were also abundant and there's a good working ceiling fan:) Thanks, Alejandro!

It's an exciting place. I had the opportunity to see the rain on the volcanoes and the lake. It's an experience that's as good as any attraction in the world. I recommend it 100%

location is perfect. We are into night life entertainment. We enjoyed visiting Pana Rock and Circus Bar pretty much every night for their great Live music performed by local artists. Walking distance to Lake where you can catch a boat ride to any surrounding town on the lake. Many restaurant options from early in the day to late at night, something the smaller surrounding towns don't have. Sarah and Reyna were very helpful and provided extra towels during our stay. We forgot our car keys after we checked out, and they were available for us to retrieve our keys as soon as we could make it back.

Sarah’s place was in an amazing location in Pana! A short walk away to literally everything, the best grocery store, shops, cafes, restaurants, and the docks. Her place feels extremely safe with a locking main entrance door to the complex after the cafe below closes at night. We felt so lucky to have this modern, clean, and comfy studio space in a modern and well-maintained complex to return to after so many adventures out exploring this incredible area. We worked remotely from here and the WiFi was very reliable other than when the entire town lost power for 4 hours during a storm. It was fun to watch the world go by from the window seats…we caught a few parades from there! We were so grateful to have air conditioning here as we visited when it was quite warm. There were a few nights where you felt like the live band nearby was literally inside the complex, but we were warned in advance and it was only on weekends. All in all, great place to stay in Pana!
