Hotel holiday rentals in Jamaica

This is a duplicate review for the two cabins we stayed in. I stayed at Zimbali Retreat for 2 nights with 3 family members. I recommend Zimbali as a unique opportunity for the traveller who wants to get away from the tourist scene and experience a taste of Jamaican culture. Mark, Alecia and the Zimbali family/team were very welcoming. The team includes several dogs that you may see around from time to time. Aside from barking to alert when someone is at the front door, they are very calm and add to the serenity of Zimbali. We stayed in Suites I and II which shares an adjoining balcony which is nice for a family. One of the two Suites had a twin bed as well as a double bed which would have made it convenient to add a third person to our room. The interior of our rooms were beautifully decorated with a mix of island decor and pieces by talented local artists. This theme carried through to the common areas as well. The mood is very relaxing and peaceful. There is a swimming pool and gift shop onsite. Aside from the activities that you book, there aren't a lot of other things to do onsite. Of the activities available onsite, we chose the Rasta hike with Fiyah and the farm to table cooking show with farm tour. The one mile Rasta hike was at times a little challenging (but doable) for the retirees amongst us as the uphill trek was muddy in some spots, however there are plenty of things to hold onto to aid with the hike. Also, we had tour guides (Buju and Indio) that gave support to make the hike a lot easier and fun. It was well worth it for the visit with Fiyah and the delicious meal he prepared for us. The farm to table cooking show includes a farm tour (Unfortunately, we couldn't take the farm tour due to rain.) & 5 course meal prepared with fresh ingredients from the farm served with wine. It was educational, and the food was amazing. My family members recommend both experiences. We plan to visit again the next time we are in Negril.

The treehouse and the outdoor bathtub were wonderful retreats away from nyc. So many little nooks and areas to get lost in on the grounds. Creatively designed. The staff was very kind and helpful. I went in the off season so I actually had the whole place to myself one day, but everyone still treated the grounds like it was full, constantly up keeping the gardens and keeping the sand pristine. Really lovely experience.

The view from this villa is amazing, we got up at 5:30 am so we could see the sunrise it was truly wonderful. The space is just as advertised, was even better than expected. If you’re in St Elizabeth this is the place to stay. Leslie was very accommodating.

Loved this place. It was perfect. Close to all amenities but still quiet and peaceful. The ambiance was great especially by the pool. Great view of the beach. The only complaint was that we didn't get a chance to go to the beach because we were so busy enjoying the view from the cute balcony. Me and my family will definitely be back. Tania

Two high tumbs up for Donovan and his place. Donovan was quick to reply and when a minor issue arose, he jumped right on getting it fixed. Super friendly and professional. Place was close to amenities and spotless. Sandra, the housekeeper, was great also. Would definitely stay there again. High praise. You won't regret staying there.

Most amazing Airbnb in Portland. We absolutely loved our villa, the views are breathtaking and the sound of the birds in the morning topped it off. Nena, Miss. Myrtle and Kevin had amazing communication and hospitality skills. They made us feel like family. 10/10 stay!

The property is very well kept and managed by the grounds people and staff. The property is bigger than expected 3 floors and out house condos and beautiful rooftop space - with a swimming pool. Suitable for party trip or family vacation of all ages. Syvon is very friendly and understanding of guests needs as he is well travelled. Manager Tishan is proactive and hands on with everything and anything you need 24/7 The chefs are underrated - especially Nicholas they are top quality and very versatile. They can make nearly anything you request just give them a day notice to collect ingredients and they will deliver hot meal to your room if you request. I would recommend this accommodation, just bare in mind it is on a hill - so access to main road 5 minute drive 25minute walk. Will miss them all - thank you for the experience

Second time staying at Chenessa’s place . Cannot wait until our third . Place is conveniently located on Main Street . Beach access and walkable to many food places and night life

The place was as described, easy to find, very peaceful, private, very spacious, close to beaches, restaurants, shops, etc...exactly what we needed for our family weekend getaway. The host communicated proactively and the staff on-site were great. They were there when you needed them but were not intrusive. Would definitely return and would recommend.

Everything was perfect! Restaurants on site. Bar and eats by the pool, along with music. I absolutely enjoyed!! Beach was walkable thru the back gate which is a plus. Everything like grocery stores, shops, Margaritaville & other restaurants, clubs, lounges, are in walking distance. Perfect place to be!!

Completely reasonable and recommended. If you would like to disconnect and rest, this is the place!

Honestly had a great experience at Errol’s property. The guest house is exactly what was pictured. The breakfast was amazing. Take full advantage of that opportunity. Errol took the time to show us the grounds and even take some lovely pictures. The kindest host I’ve met so far.

Of all the place I’ve stayed with Airbnb, this is by far the best! This place stood out due to the natural scenery. If u want a place that is secluded and away from all the exhaustion of the town, this is the place to be. Peaceful and relaxing! Not to mention the host is everything! He is very accommodating, very responsive and very welcoming! The property had its own coconut trees! We had so much coconut water to drink! Once we are staying in St. Ann, this is where we’ll be staying! Thanks for the experience John.

I’ve been to Jamaica 4x and this was the absolute cleanest (nearly brand new building) and most hospitable ABB I’ve stayed in. A private chef each morning, prepares thee most delicious food! A welcoming Host who will go the extra distance for anything you need or desire during your stay, while offering great suggestions, strong WiFi, comfortable beds, hot water, cold Ac, private patios and the grounds are meticulously manicured with fruit trees and flowers that make for a gorgeous serene environment. Walkable to many restaurant activities and local shops. Joyce has the most welcoming energy and truly, a huge heart. Her attentiveness makes you feel like you’re ‘home’!
