Synninlukon luonnonpuisto runsaine vaellusreitteineen sijaitseevain n.20km päässä. Vanhan Witosen melontareitistö on myös Jämsässä. Hallin keskustaan, ja uimarannalle kävelee 10min. Keskustassa on ravintola, hyvä K-kauppa postipalveluineen, pankkiautomaatti ja apteekki.
