We are also within walking distance to (one each) fine & casual dining, a local coffee house & grocery store ~ 2miles away. Please read “Other things to note”. Also, bear spray available to borrow if you plan on hiking or strolling through Kincaid park. (Fee charged only if you discharge it.)

Within a 10 minute drive you can access Kincaid Park and enjoy miles of beautiful walking trails and single track biking trails. The highway connections and Airport are also within 10 minutes drive away.

Forest Yurt has all of the spirit of an off-grid forest yurt, in a quiet Anchorage neighborhood, 5 mins from airport. This 16' partial off-grid unit is wood stove heated (cut wood included), or guests can use a space heater. Comfortable full bed. Basic kitchenette amenities available: microwave, hot plate, tools, pans. No plumbing; sink and toilet are an eco- friendly Boxio system. Next to a forested park with trails. Enjoy the hot tub, collect fresh chicken eggs, and breathe forest air!

Take a stroll on the winter trails connecting Jewel and Sand Lakes, or snuggle up by the fireplace. We make sure the property is comfortable because we stay here often when visiting family in Anchorage and just installed a 65" TV in the living room and king bed in the master bedroom.
