You don't often come across a place like this on Airbnb. The more than 130-year-old log cabin in the cultural heritage landscape of Suvanto takes its residents on a time travel to a 19th century village in the far north of Finland. The property is best suited for a friend of Lapland's nature, history and silence, who is not afraid of the dark in winter or mosquitoes in summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

The small kitchen is well equipped. The wonderful sauna heats up at the touch of a button. The cottage is located in the immediate vicinity of Suomutunturi, approx. 145 km from Rovaniemi airport. In addition to cross-country skiing and downhill skiing, the area has excellent opportunities for outdoor activities and hiking, even in the summer. The hotel rents skis and organizes excursions.

Accommodation for 3, up to 5 beds for those sleeping in their own sleeping bags. A cozy, high-quality, renovated and stylishly decorated cabin is located in Suomutunturi, on the Arctic Circle, by the pond. The villa has 2 bedrooms with a double bed and 2 sleeping alcoves (120 cm beds + upper bed 80 cm), the loft also has beds for two people. The kitchen and spacious dining room at the other end of the cottage in their own peace, which also leads directly to the other terrace. The dining table can accommodate 10 people at the same time to enjoy the food. The sauna and bathroom are spacious.

Our holiday home is situated in Kemijärvi 85 kms/ 53 miles north-east from Rovaniemi. Nice peaceful 71 m2 apartment close to the nature. You can rest hiking, biking, skiing, swimming, picking berries or mushrooms - whatever you like. Kemijärvi is a town of 6000 inhabitants in the middle of two lakes just above the polar circle. Sauna. There are good trails for crosscountry skiing almost from our front door. The distances to the downhill skiing areas: 45 kms to Suomu and 53 kms to Pyhä.
