This house is built on the quiet seaside in Shodoshima Town. The house was built just for dusk watching the sea and the sunset.Therefore, I apologize for the large number of stairs on the terrace, but I can never call it barrier-free.(I will do my best to help with my luggage, etc.) However, at the end of the high terrace, there is a glittering, calm and beautiful sea in Setouchi, and a kane-colored sunset that changes faces every day. Forget your time and enjoy the extraordinary. *We are currently not accepting pets for accommodation. If you would like to make a reservation, please contact us before booking. The interior is accessed by climbing the terrace stairs.It is not handicap accessible. Please be sure to accompany small children or adults when climbing up and down the stairs. Also, on rainy days, there are many stairs, so it may be inconvenient. The road in front of the inn is not paved. Please note that this may be an inconvenience. There is a lot of nature around the inn, so there are definitely insects.Sometimes insects come in together when opening and closing windows and doors.(Especially at night, insects gather in the light of the inn) We are very sorry, but please refrain from staying if you are not good with insects.

This is a private, fully renovated 150-year-old traditional Japanese house, where the owner, JP, who loves DIY, has created his ideal living space. The most unique feature of this inn is its one-of-a-kind "egg sauna." This is a completely DIY sauna, meticulously crafted by JP from design to production, with a unique shape that allows heat to circulate naturally.Enjoy a sauna experience you can only have here, while being enveloped in the gentle heat of a wood-burning stove. There is also a traditional hearth inside, unique to old Japanese houses. You can experience traditional Japanese living, such as enjoying a hot pot around the irori fireplace or grilling skewers. ※ Please bring your own ingredients and cooking utensils such as skewers. The inn is located in a quiet hamlet called "Kobo" in the mountains of Mimasaka City, Okayama Prefecture. Each floor is fully equipped with a bathroom toilet! The first floor bath is equipped with heating and a mist sauna! The toilet on the first floor is a large multipurpose toilet! The memories of my family's beach vacation when I was in elementary school I can't forget it, and I'm deeply moved that I was able to create a barrier-free accommodation. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

There is a 24h super market, Okuwa near the house.(5 min away by a car) And high rank Japanese beef restaurant(2 min by a car) You can enjoy Yakiniku.
