This home has modern amenities with rustic charm. Located in a private grove with the sounds of a nearby waterfall, you can hike all the magical trails crisscrossing the 5-acre property! Note: It can be a slushy or snowy 3-min walk up through the trees in the winter. Assistance with luggage and supplies can be provided.

Our property is very peaceful and private surrounded by nature with stunning views of the Purcell Mountains. It is a 30 min walk or 5 min drive to the charming town of Kaslo. Perfect for families who enjoy being in nature and around animals. Our spacious guest suite has its own completely level entrance, is suitable for people with disabilities and is wheelchair friendly. Easy access to numerous hiking, biking and cross country skiing trails. We are always looking forward to hosting great people

It is a short enjoyable walk to town through the forest and across a foot bridge with easy access to all the local amenities. There is a seasonal creek in the fire pit area that runs through the property during the winter and spring. This is a new super insulated home that stays cooler in the summer and comfortably warm in the winter with heated bathroom floors.

The Caravan

Enjoy a memorable and unique experience in the 'Caravan', a tiny home built on the back of a 1967 International Loadstar. Cozy up and read a book in the spacious loft bed or take a bath in the outdoor tub (May - Oct). Have a romantic getaway, or bring your family of 3 and make use of the twin futon. Walk or ride your bike right out the door on our trails and take in one of the classes or events at For-rest Retreat. Salmo is the perfect place to stay and explore the beauty of the Kootenays.

Creek & Forest Retreat by Beach

Forget your worries in this serene retreat. A 5 min walk to a sandy beach to sunbathe, swim or water sports & a 7 min drive to Nakusp. 30 minutes to a soak at Nakusp, Halcyon, Halfway and St. Leon hot springs. Two extra comfortable queen beds, a luxurious kitchen & laundry. Covered deck includes eating & lounging areas by a calming pond. A short stroll leads to a private hammock sanctuary overlooking Baerg Creek. Hike Saddle Mnt. Stroll the waterfront walkway. Mtn bike Mt. Abriel.

A Peaceful and Private Studio Suite

A beautiful suite nestled in nature. It is located just outside of Balfour with access to the ferry landing, balfour store, a gas station and bakery. Ainsworth Hotsprings is a short 15 min drive, Kokanee Creek Provincial Park is 10 minutes away and Balfour Golf Course is even closer! Nelson and all its amenities is about a 25 minute jaunt. 4 wheel drive is recommended during winter weather as the last little stretch is a little steeper. Winter weather can be unpredictable.

Moosu Guest House and Spa, Cedar Hot Tub and Sauna

Moosu Guest House is a railroad style cabin designed for two people with 12 foot ceilings and floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom for a superb stargazing experience. The private, unshared outdoor spa features a salt water cedar hot tub and barrel sauna. Turkish spa towels and linen robes are provided to complete the spa experience. As part of your stay you will be welcomed with a package including coffee from Kaapittiaq Coffee and tea from Virtue Tea.

The Cedar Cottage is a 1 bedroom, cozy and romantic cottage with all the needed amenities. Numerous windows allow ample light in with the feeling of being nestled in the trees. A covered garage is provided for guests to park. Beautiful deck nestled in the cedars with glimpses of the Purcell Mountain range and Kootenay Lake. Access world class mountain bike trails or walk the river trail right from the Cedar Cottage.
